We stayed for one weekend. It was off season actually. Many pros and cons were there during our stay.
Pros
Donno due to the off season or not they gave us 24 hr check in and check out. Plus they gave a 2 hour grace period. So happy to get this benefit.
Location is excellent it is placed very near to malampuzha dam, kava and park. So very easily accessible.
Surroundings of hotel is very clean and nicely kept.
Menu is tasty and cost is reasonable. Fast delivery of food present.
Cons It's written 3 star and we booked executive room. Cost around 4400 with tax included. But rooms are not upto the standard. Small room and bit congested compared to the amount spend.
Rooms were not fresh. All rooms were having a dusty and musty smell. Bedsheet was having some fungus also.
Bathrooms were substandard. They don't know the basic manners. Black coloured closet and wash basin seeing for the first time in a 3 star hotel. Washbasin tap was so low that our brush and hands will touch basin occasionally. Donno who the hell is the plumber and maintenance manager. There were dirt in bucket and mug also. Bathrooms were notorious 2/10.
Lift was very small and dirty with pungent smell. Haven't seen a dirty lift like this in a standard hotel.
So overall its an average hotel 2/5 star only. Accommodation was...
Read moreZero star, if that was possible. We have been staying here since 2015 whenever we visit Palakkad. Waiving off all unpleasant things that has happened before. This time the food was terrible. I am not talking taste wise. It was disgusting to look at, (for eg: there were splotches of chutney on the pooris that I ordered) when it was brought to the table. Our mistake, we further decided not to eat a meal here. No towels in room, we call the staff, they say they have left towels (has the balls to go in the bathroom to inspect despite us telling them there weren't any), so either the towels are invisible or we stole them!! Then they bring out stained towels. When asked about it, instead of changing them the guy says "we have washed it, the stain does not go". When I asked if he meant there were no new towels, he brought out another one. Please don't expect toilet roll, there aren't any and we did not bother asking. Plus the most fun part - the room was INFESTED WITH ANTS, so no keeping snacks or even a packet of biscuit in there!! (I had left my daughter's medicine bottle on the table, and it was fun cleaning it up in the morning). Wow, they have gone from bad to worse to the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Done and dusted....
Read moreMy kid’s school recently booked Tripenta Hotel for a kids’ tour, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The manager or supervisor was shockingly rude and unprofessional, setting a hostile and uncomfortable tone for entire stay.
The condition of the rooms was appalling. The bathroom was filthy, unhygienic, and reeked of a terrible stench. The walls were covered in mold, dirty, and damp, making the rooms unbearable. There was no sense of cleanliness or freshness anywhere, and the entire place had a stinging, foul odor that lingered throughout.
To make matters worse, the food served was equally horrendous. It was tasteless, poorly prepared, and far below acceptable standards. It felt like no effort was made to ensure quality or hygiene in the food, making it another major disappointment.
The staff were hostile, unhelpful, and completely indifferent to guest needs, adding to the miserable experience.
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel ever stayed at. I would strongly warn anyone against booking Tripenta Hotel, whether for groups, families, or individual stays. It is a disgrace to the hospitality industry, and I would never recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place...
