jüSTa Rangers Munnar Foothills, Kerala — Hotel in Kerala

I stayed at this property between Apr 14th-18th 2024. My stay was very comfortable and the staff ensured all the needs were taken care timely and promptly.. Especially Rabina from the front desk was very helpful in taking care of all our callouts.. Appreciate it !!

Few improvement Areas : 1)House Keeping in Rooms needs to be supervised, there was stained bedspread in my room when checked-in and took couple of callouts to be changed..

2)In bathroom, the bath area should be provided with a hand shower only head shower available. Hot water supply intermittent..

3)Deluxe Room(202) which comes with bedroom and living room..The bedroom area is really too choked and the bathroom door is right at the face of the bed so when sleeping you face it.. This needs to be revisited for change. I should have checked the premiere room to understand the difference which I missed out..

4. Tata Sky was deactivated 1 night before the checkout, unsure if this was already planned this way..

Coming to some more specifics : The property is located at foothills of Munnar in Adimali which is about 30kms downhill from Munnar town.. Folks travelling from Bangalore enter Munnar and exit Munnar to reach this property so when you are planning for hill station stay, be mindful about this fact..

If your plan is to stay in hill station. to enjoy chill weather to breakaway from Summer heat then Adimali is definitely not the place..Here the weather is like any other towns. May be not that high temperatures as in other parts of Kerala but still moderately hot here, would not give a feeling of hill station for sure..

3.Staying At Adimali, you will need to burn some super extra fuel to be visiting tourist spots..All tourist spots are at a distance from this hotel as you need to climb uphill to explore places..This might be heavy on your pocket for fuel if you are driving in SUV/MUV so take a note of this..

4.Breakfast at property is decent, buffet only available when full occupancy else it is ala-carte.. Enjoyed buffet only 1 day out of 5 days stay other days it was ala-carte.. No AC in the dining area, pedestal fans will be turned on, on-request.. This was missing on all days I was taking ala-carte... I found no AC in the lobby as well, presumably due to low occupancy to save operating cost...

5.Lunch was served hot and was well prepared so no shortfalls there.. Obviously pricing would be a thing having it in the restaurant there..

6.Folks traveling from Bangalore will need to cross 2 forest ranges Anamalai tiger reserve in TN and Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala so like any other forest ranges drive through these are time sensitive too..So if you are starting from Munnar, leave well in time to cross these before it gets too dark or max by 6pm for hassle free pass through..

Just a word of caution if you are visiting Pothamedu viewpoint, visit during early hours and when you have good footfall..Visiting while getting dark is a risky proposition so don't take a chance when you are with kids.. Had my own struggle with my kid and wife going there while it was dark and not a single soul around in this location.Hunting prohibited boards setup in tea estates pointing towards wildlife presence during evenings... This is a very steep downhill, going down is easy but climbing backup is challenging...

8.All tourist spots are worth visiting, uniqueness everywhere.Green vegetation all round and some amazing viewpoints capturing the nature's beautiful wonder..It would be more eye candy during rainy season as it would be lush green..

9.Drive from Munnar to Thekady direction is amazing to visit Lockhart tea garden, this is a newly constructed highway and is worth driving through that downhill and experience this..

10.While in Munnar if you plan to visit a beach destination then you can plan to go to Kochi which is at a distance of 3.5hrs..Visit the Cherai Beach, 30 kms away from Kochi...Play on the beach and explore the sunset...This is subjective to how you deal with the weather...
