Johns Village Resort is an absolute gem that exceeded all my expectations! Nestled in a serene and picturesque location, this resort is perfectly situated just 20 miles from the vibrant Kochi Biennale, offering easy access to cultural attractions while maintaining a peaceful retreat-like vibe. The proximity to Cochin International Airport (30 miles) and other landmarks like Chottanikkara Devi Temple (7.4 miles) makes it an ideal base for exploring the region without feeling too far from civilization.
The privacy here is unparalleled. The resort’s layout, with its beautifully manicured gardens and well-spaced accommodations, ensures a sense of seclusion that’s perfect for unwinding. I felt completely at ease, knowing I could relax without any disturbances. This makes Johns Village an excellent choice for girls-only stays, as the tranquil and secure environment fosters a comfortable and carefree experience for solo travelers or groups of women looking for a safe getaway.
The ambience is simply enchanting. The calm and quiet surroundings, paired with lush greenery and thoughtfully designed spaces, create a soothing atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the overall aesthetic of the resort is both modern and inviting. Whether you’re lounging by the pristine swimming pool or enjoying a meal at the on-site restaurant, the vibe is one of pure relaxation. Speaking of the pool, it’s a standout feature—sparkling clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by a lovely setting that’s perfect for a refreshing dip or a lazy afternoon soaking up the sun. It’s an ideal spot for women to enjoy some leisure time in a comfortable and private setting.
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every need is met with a smile. The food at the resort’s restaurant is delicious, with a variety of options that cater to different tastes, all at reasonable prices. I also appreciated the free private parking, which added convenience for those traveling by car.
Overall, Johns Village is a haven of tranquility, perfect for a girls-only escape or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with top-notch facilities. The combination of its prime location, exceptional privacy, delightful ambience, and fantastic swimming pool makes it a must-visit. I can’t wait to...

We organized our corporate colleagues’ interaction meet at this resort, planned in two batches since we are essential service personnel and needed to ensure duty coverage. Initially, the manager, Mr. Abhijith, was very friendly and cooperative, which influenced our decision to choose this resort. However, after we paid the advance for the first batch, his attitude changed significantly.
He started introducing several rules that were never discussed earlier. While we had clearly communicated our interest in booking a date for the second batch, we needed a few days to confirm internally before paying the advance. Unfortunately, when we got back to him, we were told the date had been given to another group. He never informed us that there were other inquiries for that date, which was quite unprofessional and disappointing.
We eventually finalized a new date. The first batch had their event on 5th February and the second on 12th February. I was the coordinator for the second day. The check-in time was 2 PM, but due to my duty hours ending at 3 PM, I could only reach the resort around 3:30 PM with the payment. Although some of my colleagues reached the resort on time, Mr. Abhijith refused to allow them into the rooms or access the main hall until the full payment was made. Despite my request over the phone, he only allowed access to one room, which disrupted our schedule and caused unnecessary stress.
Mr. Abhijith comes across as polite at first but turns rigid and unreasonable once the advance is paid. He prioritizes money over customer service and imposes new rules on the spot, making the atmosphere feel more like a strict camp than a relaxing retreat.
The rest of the staff were polite, but they seemed to operate strictly under his instructions. The property itself is well-maintained and has potential, but the poor management and lack of customer consideration completely ruined the experience for us.
Many other departments in our company had shown interest in this resort after hearing about our event. After learning about our experience, they chose other venues instead.
Overall, I would not recommend this resort to anyone expecting good service or...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at John's Village and was thoroughly impressed. It's a truly cozy and charming resort, perfect for a peaceful getaway. We opted for the bunk bed cottage as we were a large group, and it was even better than we expected. The private pool was a fantastic addition, and the cottage itself was incredibly spacious. With two toilets and two showers, it could easily accommodate a group of ten people without feeling cramped. The surrounding area is beautiful, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop for a relaxing stay. While we didn't get to try the in-house food, as we had takeaway (which is permitted), we did enjoy the delicious breakfast. It was a great start to our day! The resort also offers a range of activities like table tennis and archery, which is a big plus for those looking for some fun and recreation. The only minor issue we encountered was with the room service, which was a bit slow. We had to call the reception multiple times for a simple request for water. However, this was a small hiccup in an otherwise perfect experience. The manager and receptionist were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to cater to our every need. Overall, John's Village is an ideal destination for large groups, and I highly recommend it for wedding functions or any big gathering. The combination of its spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent staff makes it a fantastic choice. We would definitely...
