The service was very poor. There is no wifi in rooms. The receptionist was talking to someone else candidly on the phone when we were at the check-in counter waiting for his support. Most pf the times when we call reception or rokm servoce no ome picls up. The reception desk is always empty. The room was very dusty. The bathroom didn't have proper knobs(they were all rusty). There was no separation between the shower area and the toilet. So if someone took a shower, the whole bathroom would be a mess. When 2 people checked in, they gave toiletries for one person and there was no toilet paper or even a handle to hang the toilet paper. The toilet bowl was too high for an average person and ancient. The room was bare with just a pair of chairs other than the bed. The blanket was torn and old. Curtains were very dirty and couldn't be moved without a shower of dust into the room. The key card expired after a day and we had to get it reprogrammed again because we got locked out. The room service tool almost 2 hours and that too after someone went down to the reception to enquire why it was so late. Complimentary breakfast buffet was just dosa and puttu. No other dishes. There aren't even cups to serve tea/coffee. We had to drink tea out of tiny juice glasses. There are no tissues anywhere like restaurant wash area, rooms or even along with room service. The price of the food was exorbitant, but the quantity too low. Never visiting this...
Read moreAre you a malayali (dark skinned compared to northies)? Then you will regret to have chosen this hotel to stay for a night. They treat non - malayali guests (light skinned) as their Gods and malayalis as their encroachers. I chose this only because of the resturant 'Colonial Kitchen' as the hotel provides food from this resturant. The staff were very impolite and irresponsibile. From security guard to the receptionist were very impolite. They didn't provide a room boy to help with the lugggage but if you are a non-malayali esp. light skinned they will provide each room boy for each bag. The room was quite neat but dusty. The only thing I liked about the room is the toilet as it was clean. Most of the switches didn’t work and it itself didn’t know what its purpose was even the television didn’t have a switch to turn it on. It was just pluged in with no power supply. The service phone didn’t have a dial tone and I had to go downstairs to the reception for enquiry. The receptionist was annoyingly rude as if I was encroaching into his property. I have had many transits and have stayed in 3, 5 and 7 star hotels this was a very bad experience and that too for the first time. I will never ever choose this hotel again and I recommend you not to choose this😐 SO MUCH RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. I dint wana give any star for them. The one star I give is for the...
Read moreMy brother stayed at Surya Residency from 22-04-24 to 23-04-24 (Bill No: BIL/2024-25-123) and parked his car (Hyundai Elantra) in their parking. The next day, when he went to pick up his car, he was shocked to notice that someone had damaged and scratched the front bumper and headlight.
He immediately informed security, who denied any knowledge of the damages. He then approached the hotel receptionist for CCTV footage, but they also denied his request. After obtaining the hotel manager's number, he was informed that the camera footage was not available.
The showroom charged him Rs 15,000 to repaint the bumper and recommended replacing the headlight, which would cost an additional Rs 40,000. Unfortunately, his insurance claim was denied due to a lack of evidence.
The hotel parking is always crowded, as it shares space with a bar and a small outside tea shop. There is no fencing or separate parking for residents, leaving cars vulnerable to damage without proper supervision from hotel staff.
I advise against staying at this hotel. My brother attempted to post a review with the same feedback, but it mysteriously disappeared the next day. You...
