Our stay at KAP Korome Resort, Wayanad, on July 17th was a complete disappointment. Despite paying a hefty amount for what we hoped would be a premium experience, the service, facilities, and overall maintenance were shockingly poor.
We arrived late in the evening on a rainy day, only to find the resort completely unprepared. The swimming pool, which was one of the highlights we looked forward to, was unusable. It was flooded with rainwater, filled with sand and debris, and the water was murky and filthy. No effort was made to clean or maintain it, which was incredibly disappointing.
That night, we ordered food from the resort’s restaurant. While most items were acceptable, the parotta was excessively salty. When I complained, the staff initially took it back, but later, I received a casual call from the reception questioning my complaint. The staff member claimed the parotta tasted fine to him, and instead of addressing the issue professionally, he argued and gave long-winded explanations. It was highly unprofessional and unnecessary.
Later, I went to the reception to address the issue in person and raised other concerns, including the dirty pool and insect-infested rooms. At that time, there was only one staff member present, and when I asked for the chef who had spoken to me earlier, I was told he had left. I requested the staff to call him back, but instead, the receptionist rudely yelled at us, saying he wasn’t responsible for anything. I reminded him that as the only staff present, he should take responsibility, but he continued to behave rudely and dismissively.
The condition of the cave rooms was even worse. The toilet door lock was malfunctioning, which made it inconvenient and uncomfortable to use. The TV didn’t work, and there was no functional internet, leaving us without basic amenities. Additionally, the rooms were crawling with insects, including snails, making it unsafe for our kids. We couldn’t let them get off the bed for fear of what they might encounter. The washrooms were unhygienic, and the surroundings were dirty and poorly maintained.
During checkout the next day, I reported all of these issues to the manager, who apologized for the experience. While I appreciated his apology, it did little to make up for the appalling stay we had endured. Given the high price we paid, this experience was utterly unacceptable.
I cannot recommend KAP Korome Resort to anyone. The lack of professionalism, poor maintenance, and failure to provide even basic amenities ruined our stay. I strongly urge the management to address these issues immediately, as the current standards are far below what any guest would expect...

"This is in response to the reply from the owner on my feedback - guest usually pay and any feedback —whether it's constructive or negative, should be met with calmness, professionalism, and a willingness to improve.
By taking a positive approach, listening carefully, and reflecting on the feedback, you can turn criticism into a valuable tool for personal or professional growth.
Instead you want to justify which is not the right approach, which I mentioned in my previous post saying "the management has no clue how to run a resort"
good luck with...
