Homestay by the Backwaters

We had the pleasure of staying at the homestay in Cherthala by the backwaters, and I must say it was a truly memorable experience. The house is massive with 3 bedrooms, a dining area, party hall , kitchen and garden, making it perfect for families or large groups.

The highlight of the homestay is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the backwaters. We spent hours just sitting and admiring the serene waters and the lush greenery around. It was truly a calming and rejuvenating experience.

Apart from the stunning location, what really stood out for me was the hospitality of the host Mr Hari Poti . He went above and beyond to make us feel at home and catered to all our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we were treated to some delicious home-cooked meals.

One of the evenings, we also got the chance to relax by the backwaters hut , which was an amazing experience.

Excellent location. Accessible by road. Just 10 minutes from Cherthala railway station. For those who wish to escape from the hectic schedule and timetable of career, it's a great place to be with family. Even if you are looking to escape into yourself, solo stay is a cool option too. We took this homestay as a family for 9 ppl. It was a large place and it was very good with air-conditioners and hot water facilities with kitchen and dining space. Homestays were very very good neat and clean. Washrooms were also very neat and clean. Hosts were very kind. The only problem we had is with the roads to reach there.This homestay is somewhere interior with very narrow roads it is very difficult for the large vehicle to reach there.
