Karmaliz Casa Del Lake — Hotel in Kerala

Recently me and my cousins visited this lake view resort for an evening get together and while I loved the location and beautiful views, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The resort was situated right by the lake and had an absolutely stunning view of the water. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and had arranged an awesome spot near Lake for us.

However, the food at the resort was a letdown. The food served was cold, taste was underwhelming and lacked flavor. The fried rice was dry, and the options were limited. Karimeen fry was ok.

Despite the disappointing food, I appreciated the range of activities that the resort had to offer. There is boating and outdoor activities to keep us entertained, and the resort's proximity to the lake made it easy to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Overall, we enjoyed the evening, but the ladies and kids were not happy. I would caution anyone who is looking for a culinary experience to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a comfortable stay with beautiful views and outdoor activities, this resort is worth considering. However when we mentioned the faults regarding food , no apologies, but excuse given that they had an unexpected crowd for lunch , hence they the chef and other staffs...

Disrespect - Mismanagement - Bad Behaviour towards our ladies from the OWNER

On our arrival we were denied the hut rooms which was booked 4 days prior. The rooms were sold to another party before our arrival and stated that late check in was the reason. We had to wait 3 hours at the property to get another normal room which we agreed because we didn't wanted to spoil our weekend. Just 1 hour lated the owner demanded in a very disrespectful voice to change our rooms again as some serial artist was coming and needed the room. We couldn't agree upon that and denied. The owner then abused and insulted our girl-friends which we couldn't accept and left the place immediately. Please do not book this guys property if you want to spend a good time. I recently visited Karmalis Resort, Thekkumbhagom for a birthday party, and it was a wonderful experience overall! 🎉 The place has a beautiful ambiance surrounded by nature — calm, clean, and perfect for celebrations or a peaceful getaway. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the arrangements for the birthday were well-organized. The food was tasty, and the view around the resort made the whole evening even more special.

The only slight downside was the road leading to the resort, which could be better maintained and a bit tricky to drive through, especially for first-time visitors. But once you reach, it’s totally worth it — the peaceful atmosphere and service make up for it.
