We had a wonderful stay at Karthika Homes! We booked one triple cot family room and one deluxe king-size room for 10 people. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. They provided towels, soap, and even free black coffee. What really stood out was their hospitality—they even offered free rooms for our two drivers, with the same amenities. It was a kind and thoughtful gesture.

The hotel is run by a warm and welcoming local family who live on the property. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If you contact them by phone in advance, they’ll often offer discounts and send you their exact location—super helpful if you're new to the area.

Do remember to ask for the Wi-Fi if you need it—they do have it, but they might forget to mention it unless you ask.

The homestay is located in Pallivasal, a bit away from Munnar town. Because of this, it’s best to stay here the night before your Munnar sightseeing starts, not in the middle of your trip—otherwise, you’ll need to drive back down and climb the hills again the next day, which takes extra time and distance.

If you’re traveling by KSRTC or public transport, here’s a bonus: inform the owner beforehand, and they can arrange a mini-bus or car with a guide to take you to all the main tourist spots in Munnar. You just pay on the day—no need to book anything else separately.
