Kood Heritage Cottages — Hotel in Kerala

This was my first bad experience booking this property with MakeMyTrip. I had made a booking, received confirmation along with the booking voucher, and reached the property by evening. To my surprise, the staff informed me that they hadn’t received any such booking. When I showed them my confirmation details, they realized that the agency representative, Shanu, had failed to communicate the booking to the property. Unfortunately, he never answered my calls or responded afterward. If you see this name as host when booking, be cautious. According to Mr. Johny, the caretaker, this particular agent has caused similar issues multiple times. Since the property had already accepted another booking, we were fortunate that it got cancelled. Otherwise, finding a place to stay at that late hour would have been a real struggle. The property itself was average. It looks much better in the photos, and while the balcony view was nice, the overall amenities did not justify the price. The room lacked basic necessities no TV, no toiletries, not even a bottle of water. When requested, they provided glasses and plates. Cleanliness was another concern; there were slugs in the room, and one even crawled onto our water bottle. Nicely placed cottage with great view from the room. Tall ceilings and long glass windows give an awesome experience. We saw the cloud shifting, moving in through the windows and was hill gazing all day long.
