It would be sheer injustice if I do not narrate my recent experience at Tamarind Nilambur because it negates the not so pleasant experience that I had three months back.||Found the parking space crowded when I reached the premises on 15 January 2017. Managed to park my vehicle inside the compound and before I could exit, a heavily reinforced SUV recklessly on reverse gear rammed to my vehicle denting it's fender.A gentle man jumped out with profuse apologies to which I budged as I badly needed some rest. ||Perturbed with the unexpected unsolicited encounter, I walked in to the reception. The gentleman at the reception mentioned my name, greeted me with a smile and welcomed me before I could introduce myself. There was some partying noise at the hall adjoining the reception area and it dawned on me the reason for the crowd in the car park and the scampering reckless driver.||I mentioned my earlier experience and sought a room which is not noisy, or rather less noisy. He lead me to a room at the ground floor right behind the restaurant. Though comparatively smaller than the one I stayed earlier, I found it pretty comfortable and tidy. The bathroom had a sealed ventilation but had an exhaust fan to help serve the purpose. The windows faced the bridge over Karimpuzha river and were pretty sound proof when closed. The food served is extremely palatable and the room service was excellent. ||Had a peaceful sleep, free of pollution of any kind. A memorable stay for good reasons that I decided Tamarind as my stopover destination in Nilambur, in the future. ||Ideal...
Read moreKTDC Tamarind in Nilamboor is a great place to spend a vacation. My family and I stayed at the hotel for two days in 2018, and we had a fantastic time. Although the hotel is not luxury, it still offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel's close proximity to the Nilambur teak museum, which was a great experience. The food at the hotel was delicious, and as vegetarians, we were impressed with the variety of vegetarian options available.
The hotel is located at the main road side, making it easy to reach the main tourist attractions in the area. The location is convenient, and we were able to explore the surrounding area with ease.
In conclusion, I highly recommend KTDC Tamarind in Nilamboor for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The hotel provides comfortable accommodation, tasty food, and easy access to the main tourist attractions in the area. Whether you're traveling alone, with friends, or with family, this hotel is an excellent choice for...
Read moreWe stayed here as group of bachelor friends on our way to wayanadu. We reached Nilambur after midnight. As the checkpost through the forest was closed, we looked for a place to take a nap & fresh up in the morning.||We found this is possibly the best place available there on the road side. We were neither disappointed nor thrilled with the facilities, it was just adequate.||Rooms were bit smelly, bed sheets, towels & bathroom appeared shabby. The entire property will show you that it is not well maintained. ||Breakfast was Ok, Kerala style 2-3 options were available. You will not feel very hygiene.||Location is good, located inside forest, with one side the main road and another side with a running river - I think Chaliyar.||Staff behaved even better the maintenance standard of the property. As such, there was no inconvenience created. ||Overall, ok for a one night stay for a basic traveller. Try to avoid if you are high-end traveller or with...
