We were a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children of age 15 and 10 years. We stayed in the Premium family room with balcony (cost ₹10k) and the Private Pool room (cost ₹18k). The package covers a complimentary buffet breakfast and a 1-hour Jeep ride into the Tribal village and paddy fields.
The premium family room is quite spacious and can accommodate 2 adults and a child. The bathroom walls were of semi-transparent glass walls and it was a little embarrassing for us when we were using the bathroom as the person sitting in the room could easily make out the person's actions inside the bathroom.
The private pool room was on the ground floor and had all the amenities that were available in the family room except the bathtub and a balcony. It had bathrobes, hairdryer and a small pool measuring roughly 20 x 8 feet. The pool was not temperature-controlled and was too cold to get into. The pool has a sharp corner that could be dangerous if the kids are not careful. I would request the property owner to look into that and probably curve the sharp edge. The bed was so big that all 4 of us slept in the same bed. They offered a basket of fruits containing an apple, an orange, a pomegranate and 3 bananas. There is a glass wall between the room and the pool and one can watch the people swimming in the pool from the comfort of the bed.
The resort has a small pool of about 4 feet in depth. The pool could be around 40 x 25 feet. It is good for 3 to 4 people to swim. There is a small cave model good for photo shoots. There was a birdcage with parakeets in it and some rabbits. Plantations and trees are everywhere which makes us feel one with nature. The children's play area has swings, slides, see-saw and a wooden plank bridge. It is covered with sand so that kids don't hurt themselves. They have a bonfire with music at night. The multi-cuisine restaurant could accommodate around 30 guests. Buffet breakfast had Indian, local, and foreign dishes along with fresh-cut fruits and juices, Kellogg's, coffee and tea. Dosa and omelet were prepared on request. The food was tasty and maintained good quality. The pond in the dining area has a few fish and frogs. They also provide an Ayurvedic spa to rejuvenate yourself. The resort has parking space for about 16 to 20 cars.
For sports lovers, they have table tennis, badminton court, billiards table, foosball, dartboard, bow and arrow with target, carrom and chess. Table tennis rackets are all worn out. The Badminton court roof is not too high and often we end up hitting the roof with the shuttlecock. It has cement flooring and is slippery while playing.
They provide an on-road night safari for about 3 hours and they drive to Thirunelli Maha Vishnu temple. They charged ₹5,000 for the Jeep, and it was exclusively for us. On the way, we saw an elephant and its calf on the roadside eating plants, a few bison and some deer. I felt an off-road safari into the jungle would have been adventurous, but they said it was banned by the government for the safety of the visitors. They also provide a morning off-road safari and it is ₹3,500. A day trip is ₹7,000.
The staff are welcoming, kind, and polite and attend to our needs on priority. Night safari driver Pradeesh was very informative and explained to us about the tribal village, people, forest, the techniques used to alert the villagers when the animals enter the paddy field and so on. Vishnu was friendly and I liked his smiling face. He took a family photo of us in the heart-shaped seat and it was one of the best pictures I would ever ask for. I should also mention Praveen made our booking process easy.
Overall, it was a good experience and wonderful memories to cherish. I think the resort would be a great experience for newly married couples as the rooms are built in such a way that it will set the mood for the couples to have a beautiful...
