Tastefully designed villa in a small fishing village with 4 rooms: 1 pool room, 1 sea view room and 2 garden rooms which are deceptively called “villas”. This boutique hotel, which is built like a private home (with no reception area) has great potential if better maintained. Facilities are poor: terrible mosquitoes menace due to lack of sufficient fumigation; an excuse of a restaurant in a beach shack with cheap furniture; a rooftop outdoor lounge with wooden lounge chairs that have no cushions; no access path to the beach; absolutely no privacy in the rooms as the garden level is elevated allowing walkers by in the compound and outside a direct view into the rooms and pool area. The hotel is directly off the main road so the noise factor is high combined with the muezzin’s lectures over the mike and call to prayer from a mosque next door. That in itself could be overlooked if the facilities were better thought through and maintained well to make the stay more attractive to visitors. There is also no alcohol license so bring your own! Mocktails are very limited but good. The staff are poorly trained excepting for Faiz, the manager, who gave us exceptional service. There is no laundry facility either. Food is very average to poor with very limited choices. We only ordered room service as the restaurant was dark, dingy and cramped without any view. The bathrooms are creatively designed in ethnic style but the fixtures are poor quality, and the shower area is not sufficiently sunk so the water from the shower splashes into the sink area wetting the entire floor. The hot water shuts off in minutes during a shower but it didn’t matter much as the weather was warm. The owners could make much more of the limited space and provide better entertainment and common areas for their guests by putting a little effort. The hotel is not suitable for anyone with a handicap. I have nevertheless recommended the hotel due to its creative design and beach-facing location. However, it’s important for guests to know that in its present state, the villa is highly overpriced with the shortcomings mentioned above. The location is not well connected by highways so the travel from Kochi was long and tedious. You should plan around 6 1/2 to 7 hours with...

Nestled along the pristine shores of Kadalundi, this villa offers the perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.
The villa itself is tastefully designed, combining modern amenities with a touch of traditional Kerala architecture. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and offer breathtaking views of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and the sight of the sun rising over the sea was truly magical.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering personalized service and delicious, locally-inspired meals. The seafood was particularly fresh and flavorful, and dining al fresco by the beach was a delight.
The location is perfect for those who love nature. We enjoyed long walks on the beach, and the nearby Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary was a paradise for bird watchers. The villa also arranged a boat ride, which gave us a unique perspective of the local ecosystem.
La Reve, The Beach Villa, is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a peaceful solo trip, this villa has something to offer. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We left feeling rejuvenated and can’t...
