Lumino Winter Castle — Hotel in Kerala

Our stay was good but giving 4 stars for the following reasons:

They had over booked despite we having the confirmation about 3 beds in dormitory. Later we had to adjust extra beds in the 3 rooms we had booked.

The view from 1st floor is good, ground floor there is only one room which gives tea estate view, other 2 rooms will give jungle view which isn't great. Book rooms on 1st floor (Tea estate view). Difficult to get as they only have 3 out of 7 rooms with this view.

There were 2 bigger rooms and they lack A/C. Sometimes the place is hot and we will need A/C as the fan they have is in the middle of the room where it isn't enough.

The biggest problem was the hot water, we had struggle every morning through out our stay (3 nights). Neither the Gas nor the Electric heater worked in 1st instance. Every morning the manager had to be called and he had to temporary fix a few things.

We were extremely happy with the manager Mr. Ajith and his team. Kudos to them.

Kindly note, Airtel was a dead signal and we had to rely on the wifi, the wifi...

We stayed for 2 nights.

Rooms:

Room is spacious and good with all amenities. There is a games room with snooker, carrom board, Foosball and board games that both adults and kids will enjoy very much.

There is Karaoke arrangement that music lovers can leverage and enjoy as well.

Service:

I would especially mention about the service. The entire hotel crew and management/owner were very humble and helpful. They were courteous and welcoming on everything. They felt us home with "Atithi Deva bhabo" mindset.

Location:

This place is located in midst of a tea garden with great scenic views around. You will wake up in the morning with view of refreshing greenery.

The place is about 30 kilometers away from Munnar city center and hence, free from all hustle and bustle.
