Malayoram Heritage Villa — Hotel in Kerala

A Gem up in the hills!! A review long overdue, I am an avid traveler and would rate it up there amongst the top stays for me in 2022!! The month was June 22 and our family was attending a wedding in a quaint little town called Adimaly in Kerala. I found this place on the net, just reviews and gut.. Owners are Adv Jose and his wife Sally who also is a retired food inspector. All communication pre stay was taken care by their son Prince who also is an Advocate residing in Ernakulam. Was a late flight and Got picked at the Airport and Mr Jose himself settled us in and made us comfortable. We chose the traditional Tharwad to stay in and was an experience!! Mornings are heavenly and the local breakfast was even better.. Puttu, Kadla , ethakya and off course home grown coffee..All prepared by Sally herself. The place is kept squeaky clean and feels like home. Adimaly is the gateway to Munnar and the surrounding hill stations. The town has got character and plenty of good bakeries and restaurants. Some of the most beautiful churches are here. And now for the icing on the cake!! The house is surrounded by mountains and a must visit .. plenty of waterfalls in the rains and we lucky to have Prince to take us up there. He was the perfect guide!! Every detail reflects thoughtfulness and love for the place and its guests. What truly sets this resort apart is the people behind it. Jose and his family have created something rare: a destination where you arrive as a visitor but leave feeling like part of something special. We came for a vacation and left with cherished memories and a deep sense of gratitude.

I truly want to recommend this homestay to everyone who loves staying close to nature. It’s a perfect getaway surrounded by lush greenery where you can explore different plantations and spend time with friendly animals like rabbits, dogs, and hens. Your mornings start with the beautiful chirping of birds, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Although Zomato and Swiggy are not available in this area, the hosts ensure that you never go hungry — they arrange food delivery from nearby restaurants right to your doorstep. The property owners, Jose uncle and Pranav, are extremely kind and welcoming. They mingle with guests like family, making you feel at home throughout your stay. A special shoutout to them for maintaining the property so well and for the wonderful hospitality they provide. The rooms are neat, comfortable, and well maintained. You can also relax in the sit-out areas, enjoy a hot cup of tea, and take in the scenic beauty around you.
