Marayoor Holidays — Hotel in Kerala

During my stay at this place over the last week, the TV's was not all working in the room which i was allocated. While we try to reach the reception office, it was locked, After checking with other persons they asked to check the house where the owner was available. When we checked them they said like the Cable Wire's are cut and then there is no action taken for that. Even the TV is not at all working. I think there is no electrician or person to help on this time in the property. Later the Bathroom Flush was not working properly. When we informed, later they were able to arrange a plumber to get it repaired after some time. There was no celing fans at the room we stayed and only there is one table fan. Literally this are the basic facilities which was expected during the stay and it didnt got...

Everything about this property should have a lot improved. The hosts are too cold. The room is so congested. There's no air ventilation proper and no hot water when you need it. The room i booked for Rs 750 was worth Rs 200 elsewhere. It was like a local lodge where refugees might be put up. If you will make advance payment for which they will insist, you are sure to get the worst room. They keep the best in the worse for those doing spot booking en route. There are better accommodations elsewhere in Marayoor. This turned to be worst experience i've ever had among hundreds of my journies. I would not recommend it to anyone i care about. This might be the spoil-baby of your trip as you will be wanting to take a night's rest after a long ride, and end up, imagine, in place like this....

Awesome experience. I drive from Bangalore and stayed that night and the next day too before heading to Munnar the 3rd day morning. Actually I did not expect these much facilities in a holiday cottage in this small township. We got a corner cottage close to the mango tree which was nice. 24hr hot water using the cooking gas was something very useful and new to me. Power backup with inverters and genset. Wifi with more than 20mbps download speed was a luxury i should say which often we miss even in cities. Owner is very nice and friendly.. Only missing point I felt, was there is no cook available but we can use the kitchen with dining table to make some black tea/coffee or having food brought from outside. Overall, i will surely recommend this cottage.which is worth every...
