We visited this place in Dec and went for boating only, took around 1.5 hours. The trip included mangroves and the swamp land area near mangroves by crossing underneath the railway bridge. We found 1.5-2 hrs will be sufficient. Refer note below on tidal levels for a better experience. Good for family trips, and for groups of size 10 people as one boat can accommodate up to 12. The place also has other activities that one can explore like home stay, food and even family celebrations or parties could be arranged. IMPORTANT: make sure to inquire the timings with Mr.Sudeesan (owner) before planning your travel to get the maximum out of boating to mangrove site, when we went at noon time, we couldn’t enter inside the mangroves due to low tide. Great place to spend your vacation! Ideal for long or short stays to explore the beautiful community reserve of Kadalundi and bird sanctuary! This resort is located inside the island connected by road! Place is awesome with kids and adult play area! Open Auditorium and ac rooms and well maintained.
