Disheartening Stay at Misty Courtyard Resort, Munnar My special day experience at Misty Courtyard Resort in Munnar was unfortunately far from the luxurious celebration I had envisioned. Despite the great location, the property proved to be challenging to commute to, and overall, it was not value for money.

Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find the room damp, with moisture affecting almost all the walls. When I brought this to the attention of the owner, Mr. Basil, he dismissively mentioned that such issues were common in all the Munnar properties. Contrary to this claim, my subsequent stay at another property in the area offered a significantly more pleasant experience.

Service at Misty Courtyard Resort was exceptionally slow. Simple requests for tea, coffee, or a plate took an unreasonably long 30 minutes to reach the room. Adding to the frustration, a staff member named Mr. Ali, who assisted with my bags, not only damaged them but engaged in a confrontational argument, displaying a lack of professionalism and responsibility.

To compound the issues, the food at the resort was not up to the mark. Breakfast lacked variety, and the taste was notably subpar. As if these disappointments were not enough, when I requested a replacement for the damaged bag, they provided a mere garbage bag – a truly unsatisfactory resolution.

In conclusion, Misty Courtyard Resort failed to provide the expected luxury and value for money. With damp rooms, slow service, unprofessional staff, and subpar food, I would strongly caution others against choosing this property for a special occasion...

Travelled with family. Total 11 adults and 1 baby. Occupied two suite rooms in 1st floor, 1 normal room in ground floor and 1 villa. Good points are: Location is good. Can access some of the prime spots easily. View is good. Rooms are spacious and neat, toilets are clean & premium. Food is okay, but costly.

Not so good points are: The first floor rooms are suite room, which are large and has balcony too. But the floor seems to be either wood or fiber kind of material with tiles. The problem is, the entire floor shakes when we walk and few tiles make crackling sound too. The floor made sound even when our 1 year old baby walked. The sound is very disturbing in the below rooms too, where our parents stayed. Another couple who occupied the ground floor room even complained the owner about the sound our baby made while walking. We tried walking very slow which still created sound and didn't allow our baby to walk. Sound insulation between the rooms is poor. We could talk with other family members in the adjacent room in first floor. Too close to highway. Property is not very large. Not too much space to walk or sit and relax. Campfire location is too close to highway. We didn't use it though. No pool. They switched off the outdoor lights at 10pm, while all of us were still outside talking and enjoying the night vibes. We had to use mobile phone flashes to get back to our rooms. Need to climb at least 30 steps to reach the ground floor rooms, which was difficult for our aged parents. First floor was...

My first-anniversary stay at Misty Courtyard Resort in Munnar was characterized by a mix of highs and lows. While the location offered scenic beauty, the commuting challenges and various disappointments made it fall short of being a value-for-money experience.||Despite notifying the owner, Mr. Basil, about the significance of my special day, the luxury I expected was absent. The room was consistently damp, with moisture affecting nearly all the walls. Mr. Basil dismissed my concerns, stating that such issues were common in Munnar properties. However, my subsequent stay at another property contradicted this claim.||Service at Misty Courtyard Resort was notably slow. Simple requests, such as tea, coffee, or a glass plate, took an exasperating 30 minutes to reach the room. A significant contributor to the dissatisfaction was Mr. Ali, a staff member, who not only damaged my bags but also engaged in a confrontational argument when confronted. Guests should exercise caution when dealing with Mr. Ali.||To compound the disappointment, when I requested a replacement for the damaged bag, the solution offered was a garbage bag – an unsatisfactory resolution for a luxury property. In summary, while the location provided a scenic backdrop, the commuting challenges, coupled with damp room conditions, slow service, and the unsatisfactory resolution to the bag incident, make Misty Courtyard Resort fall short of providing a truly value-for-money experience. Potential guests should be aware of these shortcomings before...

Absolutely stunning place to stay. Never dreamt about such a beauty location at very reasonable price. Great hospitality, staff is always ready to serve you better, highly recommend this place to stay. Great thing about it, its a pet friendly place. Owner Mr Rajesh is the best, always there to suggest you the best of places and will arrange the things accordingly. Its very nearby from National View Point. Food is excellent, however, we didn't have much choices because of vegetarianism. But you can definitely cook in their kitchen. Honeymoon suite room is fabulous, such a big room with a decent view from balcony. Very clean and neat place.

I stayed here with my family for two nights and I enjoyed the location, food and service. True to its name, watching the early morning and evening mist from the courtyard is truly mesmerising. The property is small, but you can explore the nearby areas on foot; especially the Periyakanal waterfalls which is a walkable distance from the resort. The views of the tea estate near the resort is splendid.
