Before you consider booking a stay at this place, I strongly urge you to read this review. My experience was so profoundly disappointing that I feel compelled to share my ordeal with others.

Let's start with the location: despite claims, this place is NOT exactly in Thekkady. Even if its proximity were closer, I'd strongly advise against it. There are far better options out there, and you deserve more.

The establishment is supposedly managed by a gentleman, though don't expect much interaction beyond a polite greeting. The real force behind it all is his wife. While the location itself holds promise, the pricing is outrageously unjustified.

During our stay, my family and our two pets were given an initial quote for the entire property. Yet, when it came time to check out, things took a baffling turn – suddenly, the rate was meant for just one room. I mean, who even charges for each room in an AirBnb property listed as entirely available for the stay. Strangely, despite our repeated queries, an official price confirmation was never provided.

Now, let me recount the unsettling experiences we faced. One night, around 1:30 AM, a stranger knocked on my parents' room door – intoxicated and requesting a lighter and this uncomfortable conversation went on for a while. When we raised concerns, we were informed this person was a friend of the property owner. The next day, the owner did apologize(the gentleman whom I mentioned earlier), but that hardly erased the discomfort. I wish he still handled the property.

Then there's the matter of the shared space – initially advertised as exclusive for clubhouse property guests. Yet, on the second night, we found ourselves surrounded by over eight boisterous strangers. Imagine feeling trapped with your parents, stuck amidst the chaos. It was only after I brought this up with the caretaker that I discovered these outsiders were allowed in exchange for a commission. The caretakers seemed more interested in lining their pockets than ensuring a comfortable stay.

Finally, the food – despite being charged per person, there was no consideration for individual preferences. The quantity and selection were dictated, leaving us with no choice but to accept what was offered. During all this conversation, you can't imagine how indecently that lady spoke to me. She literally made this statement, "If you weren't able to pay this cash and all, you should've thought before leaving the house with two dogs", it seems and also added that it was not right of us to complain about all these concerns to them it seems. I got so agitated and we ended up paying the amount they asked for(almost double from what they Initially quoted).

In conclusion, I urge you to explore other options. While this establishment may have once had its charm, those days are clearly long gone. The lack of recent reviews speaks volumes. Please learn from my regretful experience and choose a more suitable place...

If u only want a location the place is fabulous but once it comes to maintenance and good keeping the place is not worth ... Charges r heavy and u get nothing not even a single chair to sit in, The washroom are not at all tidy and sanitary is pathetic, less than basic amenities and need r provided ... If continuing with the same it is worthless property ... Visitors go to a place to spend quality time and not to struggle with basic needs ... Even for food u have to kill ur hunger and then after that u will get something u ordered.... A very remote but good place to spend time with urself ... Breakfast has a very limited menu and even...

We stayed at a single tree top room right below Morley's main homestay. It was awesome. Ideal for 3 in a room max( we were 5). The view from the balcony is too good. Food was arranged from the main kitchen I guess. You need to inform them the previous afternoon or so about what you want the next day so that they can get the veggies and meat accordingly. Nothing fancy, very simple home cooked kind of rice and curries but tasty. Since shopping is far I think menu is limited. But that's also a positive point since a lot of packaging and wastage are avoided. Amply...

Morly's Place is a beautiful retreat. Nestled in a serene atmosphere at a very reasonable rate, it offers a chance to spot wild animals if you're lucky. The area slopes down to meet the Periyar River, with the boathouse set on its bank and tree houses in harmony with nature. We are a group of enthusiastic bikers who stayed there a few weeks back. The hospitality offered by Mr. Appu Morley and his family was really warm, and they made sure to settle us comfortably after the long ride we had.

Stunning location, with beautiful views across the mountains. However we left feeling a little uncomfortable as our stay was cut short as the facility had overbooked and kicked us out a day earlier than expected. We only found out we had to leave during breakfast of the day which tainted our experience to say the least. I would return as it’s a great location however I felt our custom was unappreciated and the guests are treated as ten a penny.
