The star of the resort is it's pristine location. You get an awesome view of the tea estates and mountains from the resort. You will not hear any traffic noise or any noise for that matter. The only things which you will hear are songs of birds. You can walk down the attached Tata tea estate and get a glorious view of Attukad waterfalls. The resort itself is pretty small, but you have plenty of space to walk near the resort. The next best thing in the resort is the food. Though they don't have a running kitchen, but you have a variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from south indian to north indian. You just have to let them know a couple of hours before. But the food is very tasty. Especially the idlis and the kerala biryani were best. And the next award goes to their hospitality. They have very few people, just a manager and a couple of kitchen and housekeeping staff. But they do their work very efficiently and always with a smile on their face. They are very polite and prompt. A special mention to Mr. Babito who is the manager. He is very helpful and is available round the clock for any assistance. I chose a deluxe room which had a very good view, but is pretty small even for a couple. Though the bathroom is of decent size. The room doesnt have much to offer apart from a TV. No chairs, tables, table lamps, coffee maker, etc. The bed is also sufficient just for 2 people. There is a small sitout just outside the room, where they have put two chairs. But you cannot fit a table there. I would expect a slight bigger sitout to fit a table also, so that we can enjoy tea and snacks there, having a nice view of the mountains. But nevertheless, the view from just outside the room compensates for all of this. If space if your primary requirement, then consider other room types - premium or honeymoon suite. The approach road to the resort is a bit of challenge. They have 2 routes, one of which is extremely steep (close to 60 degrees) and the other one is not steep but very rocky. It is suggested to take the former road while leaving and the latter while entering the resort. Overall it is a very nice resort (or rather I should call it as a guest house). You need to stay in this kind of place to have a real feel of hill station, instead of staying in the town which is very crowded...
Read moreThe road to reach the resort is horrible and the final climb is scary. Takes you to a really secluded place with a haunted feel. The manager is not available. Not only today as is very evident from other reviews. A part time job for the manager maybe ? Room is 100 sq ft. Quite small for comfort with a bed but no seating arrangement. Dinner must be ordered by 7.30 pm ? Who plans it so early on holiday ? One chapati (roti) costs 20 bucks. Ain't that something ! We are the only guests in the 'resort'. No one has been there in last 3 weeks as says the luggage guy cum waiter cum care taker says. Oh, I almost forgot. The 'All rounder' guy (mentioned above) also mentioned that there was a rat in our room at ground floor. Food is not their USP of course. They just missed putting salt while cooking. Outside lights are turned off at night. I am not sure which resort does that.
All in all, not a very pleasant experience. The resort manager asked me over phone what the problem was. I have mentioned them above.

Read moreWe booked the premium rooms and paid a pretty good premium for it (6500 for 3 pax only breakfast). The photographs on the mmt site had a beautiful valley view which captivated us. We made the booking and upon arrival we were given one room with the promised valley view and the other room had horrible view of the wall (see pic). We were quite disappointed and were asked to leave if we did not like the view! The owner was unapologetic and said in small fine print in the bill it is written that any view can be given! So please do your check and ensure to seek confirmation which view you will get!
The manager was kind and helpful. He offered to make Jain food for my mother for Breakfast on request. The breakfast was delicious - however 2 of us had upset stomach after consuming the food here.
The water bottles had fungus in the cap and inspite of repeated requests we/ others were often served similar bottles. However they gave us bottled water later.
It is in an isolated location and there is no nearby food joint and swiggy etc do not deliver here. The hotel offers dinner once you confirm them at 4 pm but the menu is quite limited.
A decent manager but I will not come...
