When we arrived, the staff greeted us by saying “we don’t have a booking for you.” Only after I told them we had booked through MakeMyTrip did they acknowledge the booking, but then added, “since you booked via MakeMyTrip, you’re not really our client.”
They assigned us the top room of an A-shaped tent, which was extremely disappointing—no TV, no WiFi, no heater, and curtains that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the beginning of time, full of dirt.
At 4 PM, we asked if they had anything other than banana fry (like French fries) for our child, since there are no restaurants nearby. The response was very cold—they said they only serve what they decide, and since we weren’t considered “their” customers, they didn’t feel the need to inform us beforehand.
The worst part was at night. Around 8 PM, we discovered there was no water in the bathroom. Despite calling them multiple times, the only reply we got was that “other rooms have water, so the problem must be with your pipes.” Water was only restored the next day at 9 AM. Imagine traveling with a 5-year-old and not having even a cup of water to brush teeth—we called them at least 10 times before they finally brought us just two buckets of water in the morning.
This was nothing short of a nightmare stay. I genuinely cannot understand why MakeMyTrip partners with such a pathetic property.
The only positives were the lush greenery surrounding the property and the waterfall, which was nice. But if you’re planning to visit this place just because of the mountain lift/escalator or the waterfall videos you’ve seen online, you’re going to be completely disappointed with the way the place is managed.
