PMC Lakeshore Resort & Houseboat — Hotel in Kerala

Hi, Posting as per my experience, giving 4 star for service because hotel staff tries to help in some ways but please read full review

Good experience Beautiful view Good for relaxing Polite staff Rooms are also ok ( we took premium)

Bad experience Isolated, hence extreme dependency on the provided availability Beware of local boat riders they are cheaters - we hired a local boat he said 600/- for two people then added 100/- (since we wanted to take massage which will take us to the next shore , so added waiting time) then after coming back he said 2200/- and started talking about hours, where he himself was driving it extremely slow to increase hours ( that we realised later) and we did not had any hour related talks Lost the entire peace with the argument Do not go to the massage centre recommended by these people "Google" it we went to some "devi Krishna massage " which is not in Google but we went since my husband wanted to support tourism and help these people but they will try to loot you at there maximum extinct Due to back water a lot of mosquitoes Spiders and lizards in the room I was fasting for one day where I asked for available eatables in the hotel, they suggested we have fruits which they might use for juices but we heard the caretaker screaming on the cook later as why did he offered inspite the breakfast was complimentary. I felt really bad and didn't had anything in the hotel then. No other guest in the resort hence was feeling conscious and safety concerns but us thankfully nothing...

We were 5 mom's and 6 kids during our stay here. While booking we had informed that we were strict veg and were looking for place which was child friendly. |We were told that there were some games for kids and location was good. |The location in reality is very remote and nothing closeby. The resort is too small, just what shows in pic 4 rooms and restaurant with no space to even stroll around.|When we checked in, to our surprise the behaviour of the staff was extremely rude. Inspite of repeatedly telling them they didn't take the luggage for one and half hour...They turned dear ear to everything. When we asked for kids games or entertainment they said there was nothing available. We had a horrible time there. |Being veg we had to order food from outside and when we asked for cutlery and bowls they gave us only 2 bowls saying they had limited inventory and had other guests to serve. |Next morning was even more a nightmare, We had informed them prior that we shall have only toast since that wasn't made in their kitchen. Between 11 of us they gave us only 10 slices of bread and disappeared. Upon asking again and again and having a spank , they arranged for other loaf. They literally treated us bad. Our trip turned in nightmare.|On the top of it the bathroom fittings were not working, intercom wasn't working. There was nothing correct in this hotel.||I request all the family members to not make a mistake of booking this hotel. The rude behaviour and attitude is...

My husband booked this place for our wedding anniversary. Yes, the place is far away from Alleppey town, it takes about a 30 minute ride. The approach road is therefore very small..since the resort is at the shore of the backwater. But once you reach there. It is totally worth it. Go here to relax. It is a small property but well maintained. The staff of Kadavil Lakeshore resort is very courteous, especially the restaurant staff. They have very limited rooms. The deluxe ones are on the ground floor and you will have the common pathway between your room and the waterfront. We had booked a premium room, It is on the first floor and it gives you a lot of privacy.. All you can see is water. The view \from the room balcony is stunning at dusk. you can watch the sunset lying in bed or sipping tea in the lounge chairs. I absolutely loved the place. They provide you with traditional bamboo fishing rodson request (for free). You can sit and fish near the restaurant. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. We had ordered for a candle light dinner and they did a nice job. We were pretty late for dinner and past the restaurant closing time (around 10 pm), the staff did not show any irritation or rudeness over it.
