PONMUDI DALE — Hotel in Kerala

A great place that has come up in the last 1 year. We visited and stayed for two days at this homestay, there are 2 bedrooms one on the ground floor and another on the first floor. Rooms are well maintained, location is awesome with Kallar river running practically in the backyard. Hot water and AC worked faultlessly. The best part is the 150% commitment to guest satisfaction by the owner who is available onsite all the time, they run a small shop from the same premises, so basic things are also available onsite.

Home cooked breakfast is provided complimentary, along with tea and snacks. For lunch and dinner, you could goto the Pebbles restaurant nearby (meals is better than biryani) or could decide to order in from nearby restaurants, the owner will give you the details of the restaurants.

We took dips in the Kallar river on both days and visited Ponmudi on the second day of the stay.

They have a covered thatched roof facility just by the flowing river where you can sit and enjoy the serene view.

All in all, it felt like we had visited our close friends family, the owner/family were so hospitable and attentive to our needs. Will definitely recommend this place and yes, it truly deserves all its 5...

PONMUDI DALE-REVIEW 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐 Ponmudi dale,situated at Kallar-the gateway to Ponmudi hilltop-is a great place to stay.Located at the foothills of "Kashmir of kerala"this place is easily accessible ,extremely beautiful and close to nature .Here you have at your backyard itself ,the river Kallar,which-as the name suggests -is strewn with pieces of rock through which water flows in silence .The two storied building with all facilities is well maintained and furnished.Upon arrival we were welcomed cordially by the owner Biju and his wonderful wife.Both were extremely friendly and provided all assistance .Rooms were spacious and home cooked food was yummy.We enjoyed the sumptuous food while relaxing in the river facing ,thatched, open air dine room.The real highlight was the dip in kallar-both evening and morning .Campfire that was arranged late-night was a pleasant experience .we all love the ambience and just as a visit to Ponmudi fills your heart with memories that would never wither and invokes in you a desire to return all again ,Ponmudi dale also beckons you to return and relive the experience...
