Rain Country Resorts — Hotel in Kerala

1. If you book via agents then that's the first mistake you are doing with this resort. They will charge you 3 times the charge of MakeMyTrip or other app charges.

2. Don't expect room service . Even if you thirst for water / any issues they will say we don't have room service. So you have to walk down to so called common dining ( lot of insects , snakes, leeches) and then you can witness the room service is being offered to so many guests with high attention. Yes they make their service in a very much partiallity mindset. They don't treat like all guests are paying so all guests needs to be trated properly.

3. The bathrooms are very danger it is like if somebody is standing just backside they could see everything inside the bathroom. A very ignorant mindset of safety.

4. Room door locks is one of the wonder. We have to spend atleast 10 minutes to lock it . A very patheic lock but they call it as traditional wooden 🏠.

5. We have seen 5 poisonous snakes in and around our room. VERY DANGER not recommended for kids.

6. Food : one of the worst food . The vessels are not clean. The taste is worst in almost all the items. Idly was okay and best option is bread and Jam ( Yes you have to pay the fee like 5 start hotel and you have fill your stomach with bread and Jam)

7. They promised lot of activities and particularly camp fire 🔥 ( but usually they will say the camp fire woods are spoiled because rain . They knew very well rain could come any time but they don't preserve the materials and simply say camp fire is not available today. ( Please don't expect camp fire)

8. We have booked for 2 N / 3 DAY package and unfortunately because of all the above we have checked out in 1 day. ( The one benefit they made us is they have deducted 50% cancellation fee for the next day. We have paid 55000 INR for 1 N stay . One of the costeliest mistake i have done in my life is this travel.

Note : So many people might have postive feedback on this resort but this was one of worst stay for me.

This resort is 4 km inward from the main road. ||This place is very serene. The doors and structure of the cottages will remind us the old kerala traditional houses. It is a very big property with ample space between the cottages. There is a “natural swimming pool” in the property. Pool is deep and have lot of plants and mud on the floor, this is to give you a feel of a natural water body.||Rooms are big enough. There is a an open space right outside each room to sit and relax. There are lot of water streams flowing through the property, which creates a feeling of forest.||There is a recreation room with some board games and TT. They also have space for badminton. But, be careful of the stones in the play area, we got hurt badly due to one of them.||We took a package with breakfast. It was a good deal. If there are more guests in the property, they arrange buffet for dinner, otherwise, it would be an à la carte order. Food was very nice and tasty!!! You would really enjoy this.||We stayed there for two days, didn’t go out much. If you want to go to any tourist spot, better to go in the morning, crowd will be less. There is a small trekking behind the property which will lead to a small peak. But, be careful, there are leaches on this path, a lot of them. I would recommend carrying some salt in your pocket always to safely remove leaches.||Hope this helps for your next trip!||Only a few drawbacks are there:|1. The approach road is really bad. If you like an off road trip, you would enjoy it.|2. There is no hospitals nearby, and for an emergency to get out of this location is difficult.|3. Leaches!!! They are everywhere; you will have to expect them...

the road to reach the resort is pathetic||only good for off road vechiles almost 4+km in hills to drive from main road, it's fully off road.||they do have jeep to pick you from main road (if you come by your own vechile then parking charge per nite is 200extra) the jeep per trip 500Rs cost either drop or pickup. if you want two way then 1000||||they mentioned natural swimming pool but you can't even get inside seems its like normal hindu temple kullam / pond fully dirty and greeny feels very risky that all the place covered with litches ||||the entire resort is fully occupied with litches you have to be bear with that. you will be the luckiest person that if you didn't get a bite from them.||||food is overall average, breakfast is ok and dinner is average. very slow service they will not refill, will make you wait.||||||if you want some snacks for your drinks then it's very costly for side dish that too they will provide after you finish your drinks||||rooms are good and bathroom are very huge and neat that is really good. one bad part is no privacy between rooms if you speak other room person can hear you clearly. should be very careful, either you have to book private cottage instead like single room for couples.||||you can go a short truckking, top to that hill by 10mins walk from resort, it's only good option I felt.||||No big entertainment inside the resort as mentioned by them. ||||The amount you paid is not worth for it.||||You can come and stay for a day or two without going outside by simply sit relax sleep...
