ReginaSilva Resort was a part of our 7 days Babymoon trip and it was extremely thrilling all the way.
How to reach:
Hospitality: You park your car in Kudianmala and climb up to the resort in a 4x4. The driver was very skilled and despite offroading, the drive was as smooth as possible. It was adventure overloaded to climb up. Next time I am going on my bike ;) There is a small waterfall on the way to the resort - gives a hint of how lovely the place is going to be. You are greeted by Mr.Shaji, the manager and Binny, the security along with few other staffs. What a great hospitality ! - they certainly made our stay very comfortable and memorable. They are at your disposal for all your needs. I can't thank them enough for the great service. We were lucky enough to be the only guests in the resort (it was mid of a week) and all the staffs have been extremely courteous and helpful.
About the resort: Now about the place - No second thought in saying that this place is a heaven for any nature lover. It was blissful to stay this close to nature where you literally live amidst the clouds. Trust me in saying this - all your senses are going to thank you. Second best thing about this place is taking a dip in the Swimming pool. Natural but treated spring water, where else do you get it? Food is pretty good and prices are justified. They make amazing Pakodas. Choose from various activities like Archery, Rifle Shooting, Badminton at reasonable charges. Fish pedicure is free, of course you are feeding the fish ;) Hiking and camp fires are available but we couldn't try.
Things to be aware of: There is no mobile signal except BSNL & Idea - plan accordingly. Wifi is available, but not very reliable - of course, you can't expect, considering the location. The drive is longer than expected (at least as mentioned in the website). Don't underestimate the offroading, it will test your 4x4 or biking skills. Enquire and take informed decision. If you are staying in the Hut or tree house, be informed that sometimes it is extremely windy at nights. Be prepared for the adventure though ;) They don't have bar (obviously) and carry your own. Toddy is available on demand. Last but not least, don't miss the trek!
This place is definitely in my list of places that I want to visit again and again. And a big thanks to Mr. Roy, Mr. Shaji, Mr. Binny and other staffs who truly displayed great...

Read morePer head they charged 1500 for food and guess what we got for dinner. It was ghee rice and egg curry. Never in my life in any of the resorts I have stayed I have been offered a food like this. Even for per head 1000, I got a chicken curry from resorts in Wayanad. Food is not great at all and the only good thing about the resort is the pool. Stay is average, food is average. Moreover we would like to inform to the person sitting in the reception that giving a smile to the customer won't hurt you. He was least bothered about the guests.
PS: The resorts I have stayed in Wayanad also needs extreme off-road and moreover it's more than 10km from town. They don't have a rice farm or a chicken farm. Still if they can provide non veg including chicken for better pricing, it's probably time for you to look into your resort pricing. I have seen that most of the replies for the negative reviews are diverted back to the guests rather than addressing it. The complementary food is not what we expected and sadly the quality was poor. You can still mock unsatisfied guests instead of finding a solution or addressing it. I can eat plain rice and live but it doesn't mean I need to have a below average food for which I paid money. Well, your complementary food is below average. Accept it or keep on correcting my grammar
Your last update of reply(last 2 paragraphs) was more than enough for me as a fellow traveller. For your information, I have absolutely zero interest in posting a random comment as it benefits me in no possible way. I could read the replies for most of the negative comments and surprisingly every reply was directed towards the guests in a harsh manner. I posted my experience and it would have been better if you atleast told that you guys could make it better next time or anything like that. Instead you guys were in all mood for lame justification and mocking. Anyways I just told my opinion. Thanks for accepting it finally . Just wanted to let you guys know about the...
