The Hill District Club — Hotel in Kerala

I came here with my parents and their friends, full disclosure, so I didn't have to pay for the hotels. Though I do think they're kinda overpriced, I had a really good experience, mostly thanks to the wonderful staff and services. They all look joyful and are always to help you for the smallest favors. Though I still have some minor problems here and there.

I'd come to the resort in a quieter time, so it felt peaceful in a way (except on bonfire nights, which is kinda understandable). The gardens are really well kept, they're very pretty and the small park is cute. There's a small houseboat in which you can sit in and have dinner is such a nice idea, and the small adventure course was a lot of fun, though the water under the course is filled with extremely muddy water.

The pools are really good. They're pretty big but just not that deep.

The Rooms are serviceable, the beds are good, there are plenty of sockets, haven't tried the electric kettle though, but they do replace the tea, coffee, sugar, milk powder etc. The ACs work well, a bit too cold for my taste. And the balconies are well made. The hotel Wi-Fi is quite weak though. The room service is also well done and makes it look brand new.

The Washrooms are perfectly fine, I've accepted that no hotel will have a proper hot-cold shower system. It's big enough and has soaps, a moisturizer and a bottle of shampoo, which they will replace for you.

The food is pretty good, not much too say about it, you won't have any complaints with it.

I think the best part of this resort is the really pretty garden which's really peaceful and fun to walk in, and the service was exceptional

I recommend coming to this resort if you want to enjoy the pleasant the weather of Wayanad and maybe stay back here for a few hours and enjoy the outside, maybe decrease the charges :)

To start of with, I have never experienced such a wonderful customer approachability and hospitality from THDC in any of the resorts I have stayed till to date.

One MR Rajesh Nair, Manager of the resort was a humble man who had helped us in very nook and corner guiding from reaching the resort till we leave he was very easily approachable and welcoming guests with quite happy and down to earth heart.

Resort was situated in a very light dense forest with their own taste of plantation as well as in a name called hill making a meaning to what we search for a resort in a hill station.

They have a variety of good rooms with many sharing beds as per our requirements with good in room facilities and adequate. Boys who handle hospitality and house keeping were tremendous and fabulous in Nature

One MR Jackson helped us in explaining what all to be explored in and around Wayanad and he was evolving as a complete guide whomever is roaming with Zero knowledge of Places to explore

Food was awesome with good and huge varieties of Breakfast and dinner Buffet

They have a number of activities to be enjoyed at the resort which makes us not to step out of resort and keeps engaging us to enjoy within the gates only.

Overall it was a terrific stay and power packed package of peaceful and stay and good food all at a single place to be bowed down with their hospitality and customer exp.

It was trip short trip with couple of my friends to Wayanad and assumed this place for our accommodation, most appropriate with respect to our budget, vicinity to tourist spots and facilities that we needed. Overall our stay was good but were bit disappointed on the facilities part. The property is pretty large surrounded by greenery and good landscaping. There are great views of the mountains and plantation areas. It is a very serene place and far away from the hustle bustle of the nearby towns. The unique thing that I noticed is that you need to walk at least 200 meters away from your rooms to have your food in their restaurant and enjoy other facilities within the property. With that, you cant be sure about the room service quality. Alcohol is not served and allowed in the restaurant but you can get it from outside to your room. The restaurant staff were pretty helpful and courteous and they reciprocated well with our requests on food menu.||||All the facilities are not so well maintained say outdoor swimming pool and indoor games. Internet Wifi was free and the room facilities and reception services was just OK. There were bit of issues with power back up and hot water supply in bathroom, when we stayed and hope that these are been managed well now. So it was just good enough for accommodation and the food.
