While this hotel offered a nice setting with a cool garden out back that's where the positives end.||The hotel was deserted. Our room was very basic, the bed was too short for our legs and the AC was so loud we couldn't sleep with it on.||The WiFi didn't work in our room and there was no complimentary water.||The breakfast was actually pretty good but the restaurant was so hot it was hard to enjoy. Not to mention the dirty food-stained table cloths.||We may have overlooked some of the above, had the hotel manager been remotely interested in us / helpful. Instead he was aloof, and we had to push really hard just to get a late checkout. This involved going around him and contacting our travel agent. Given we had a midnight train to catch we would have expected a slightly more helpful approach, especially given we were the only guests in the hotel!||Some of the workers were nice and friendly so they should be noted.||Loved Khajuraho, but definitely do not recommend staying at...
Read moreHotel is generally well kept and quiet. Food was ok - breakfast acceptable. One problem I have with this facility is that - as in most places in India - people try to deceive you whenever possible. We were picked up from train station by a man who turned out to be cooperating with the hotel and was responsible for organizing additional trips. We met with him and amongst many options we picked up safari and waterfall. We discussed everything in details which took about one full hour, as he was trying to push additional offer. I was trying to reason with this person but he only kept to his story, so I refused to pay - but the money I gave them upfront was not returned. I think it's a scam and makes me laugh that anybody would try to pull such a thing off. Really bad experience and we have no good memories from this hotel because such a...
Read moreOur room in Greenwood hotel was the CLEANEST room, that we have been in, in India. Delihp was the main (butler/hospitality) For those clean freaks; (read below) Fresh flowers in 2 vases, picked by Delihp from the garden, made everything fresh, their attention to detail in this 20 year old hotel is Immaculate. I moved the desk in the room forward away from the wall, to get to the charging point, wasn’t a speck of dust. This place is clean because they care. I have experienced many forms of service in my little lifetime Good service is rare, its as rare as this gem of a hotel, owned by an artist, plastered with frames filled with wonder throughout the first floor. There are services which are given well because the servers get paid a salary they are trained well and the have solid eq. But GOOD service, emulsifies when the intentions are real and one truly wants to offer care for their guest DELIHP CARES FROM THE HEART, GOOD service can be found here. Good...
