It was a nightmare to stay there. When I reached the property the problem started. I was booked in the mountain view room but there I got to know it's unavailable. So, they gave me another room for the same price. The staff would try to fool you on each step. I asked for the local SIM card because my SIM card was not working in Ladakh. They said a new SIM card would take around 4-5 days to activate. So they already have SIMs, I can use and I need to pay 500/- per day. But when I go to market and buy a new sim it takes only 5 min to activate. I asked for a tax to the market and they said it would charge 500/- but the real charge was 300/- only. Food was ready bad and there is fix the timing of food. The worst thing s there is o nearby market where you can go and eat. So I was struck because no other option was there. For getting good food you need to go to the market which cos 1000/- per visit 500/- each side if you book from a hotel. Staff if too rude, They even have no sense to talk...
Read moreHIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Wow, what can I say? As a level 7 reviewer on Google maps, it is really hard to recommend something which is suitable for everybody, but this hotel was amazing. Let me cover the relevant parameters:
Food: 10/10 The owner Mr. Stanzin serves delicious home made food, the best part is the entire buffet can be customised on demand!
Rooms: The rooms of this property make you remind that this is a 5 star property. They are large comfortable with amazing bed designs, modern bathrooms and wifi.
Owner: So the owner Mr. Stanzin remains the highlight of this property, having met 100s of people in my 7 day Ladakh trip, I can easily say that he is the best person one could come across in Leh Ladakh. He is so humble that you’ll forget you’re in a hotel, his vivid nature and care towards guest makes this one of the best hotels I’ve...
Read moreWe stayed in Ladakh Country Inn for almost 2 weeks and it was amazing. Stantzein is a super host. My family and kid became their extended families during those days. The homestay has some amazing views of Shanti stupa and snow clad mountains. Since we traveled in winter we experienced snowfall from the terrace. The terrace is my personal favourite. Food in the homestay is mostly veg but its simple and tasty. The homestay is little away from Mall Road so we rented a bike which helped in commuting. In winter the pipes were frozen and there was no running water but Stanzein was very thoughtful and prompt in providing warm water even before we asked. My 6 yrs old son got severe mountain sickness and we had to take him to SNM hospital. We got all required help from the homestay for my kid. I would definitely recommend the homestay for...
