A group of 6 people had the opportunity to stay in Misty hills resort on 24th May 2024 from chennai and after a long drive from Hunter, landed in the midst of Pangong Lake . Staying at Misty Hills by Pangong Lake is an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of serene luxury amidst breathtaking natural beauty. The ambience at Misty Hills is truly magical, offering a tranquil retreat that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The property was just 400 meters away from the lake by foot, making it incredibly convenient for leisurely strolls to the shore.

The wooden cabins themselves were cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Our stay at Misty Hills Cabin was a complete disaster. Unfortunately, our travel agency booked this hotel, and it was far from enjoyable—it was awful in almost every way, aside from the electric blanket, which was the only comfort during our stay.

As foreign tourists in a remote area, we were left without internet or any form of communication for over 24 hours, something that was never mentioned on their website. We rely heavily on internet access to stay connected with family and navigate the area, and had we known about the lack of service, we would never have booked this place.

When we showed the staff that our iPhone could detect nearby WiFi signals, hoping for help, they simply told us they choose not to offer internet to guests. They made no effort to assist, dismissively telling us, “We have only a lake here,” and suggesting we travel to a distant city if we needed to contact anyone. This lack of concern for foreign tourists who were left stranded without communication was beyond frustrating.

When we expressed our disappointment directly to the owner, he listened without responding and then ignored us completely, offering no apology or solution. It was a total disregard for guest concerns.

The only positive aspect of the cabin was the view of the lake, and the electric blanket was a small relief in an otherwise horrible stay. The room was filthy, with dirty walls and an unclean bathroom. The canteen was even worse, with many flies inside the dining area. Our room was neglected.

I would never recommend Misty Hills Cabin. The lack of internet (which wasn’t disclosed), the dismissive attitude of the staff, and the owner’s complete disregard for guest concerns made this one of the worst travel experiences...
