Read morePOSITIVES- manintained by MP Tourism but surprisingly nothing looks like a govt. owned facility. Very well built, rooms are so spacious & well decorated. Go for River front rooms always,, breathtaking view. Food is good, non-veg is served only on demand & not in buffet. Staff was cooperating too. River view rooms had fridge, kettle, sofas, chairs etc, great balcony both sides. Swimming pool is good too.steam bath wasnt operative during our March 23 visit. resort amazingly maninatined . Boating is available around 1 km ahead of resort. NEGATIVES- the wall behind the river front rooms should be fenced to avoid monkeys coming inside the balcony. staff told there was leopard scare too. in morning we couldnt sit in balcony & enjoy the river view due to monkey movement. the ground floor rooms are more riskier if doors are left open the langoors can easily come inside. fencing needs to be put up else the balcony is just useless. The road leading to the resort is lonely for several kms. also if you are travelling from kota, 85% route after crossing kota limits is between villages with bad roads. From Kota its around 3 hrs.Proper directions have not been put up.both MP & Rajasthan govt. should work in tandem to improve the approach roads to this place else a common visitor can easily get lost between villages following google. Dont expect restaurants enroute. Also travel only during daylight. Few kms are in between tiger reserves/ forest area & villages so travelling during evenings/late hours an absolute no. travelling was the worst part the river facing room...
Read moreBreaking the monotony of confined to home, digital classes and constant fear of pandemic COVID, I was on a lookout for a place which provide a complete package to rejuvenate and able to zero on Hinglaj resort - a lesser known resort managed by MP Tourism Corporation. The resort is approx. 600 km from Delhi and we ( family of four) hired a Innova and drove down to the resort for three nights. The roads were nice and and in 11 hours we were at the Resort. The COVID precautions were firmly in place and the rooms were spacious and sanitized. Staff was courteous and eager to help out for sorting out the minor of issues. The location of the resort is excellent and room has all the usual amenities with breathtaking view of the huge lake. The striking feature of our stay was the quality of food in the resort and prompt room service. Speed Boating, jungle tracking and safari, rock paintings are within 3 Km of the resort and kept everybody occupied. Dharamrajeshwar temple with Jain caves ( 80 km from the resort) is a place worth visiting and should be an essential to one's itinerary. The resort is managed by Mr. Bimbisar, a pleasing personality and he is ably assisted by Mr. Ravi, a through gentleman. You can ask for any help from Mr. Yogendra Rathod and Anurag. Overall an unforgettable experience within one's budget. A complete package for...
