Beach Resort Igloo House — Hotel in Maharashtra

Location. This is the best place to be for a great beach experience. This resort is exactly at Murud beach. Beach on the front. You step out of your room and the sea is in front of you. Event at high tide, you can take a chair and enjoy the view. Creative rooms. Very creatively built rooms. Staff is very polite.

Wifi. The wifi is limited to only reception. You dont get it in your room. Sadly, except BSNL, no other service provider is available for mobile phones. So you are completely disconnected from the world when youbare in the room. Bathroom plan. Even if the rooms are creatively built, the bathrooms are not. The slope in the bathroom contains all the water at one side. And the water outlet is at the higher side. So you have to stay there with all the water logged there. Approach road. Now, this is tricky. If you are lucky, in case of low tide, you can approach the resort through the beach. BUT, otherwise, there is an amazingly narrow way which goes through a house. Hatchback or even Sedan cars can get through this way. A deviation of an inch can give a great scratch on the car. Big vehicles has to be parked somewhare away from Murud. Kitchen Worst and unhygienic kitchen you have ever seen. Food With such a kitchen, you can not expect any good food. We got a worn out pamphlet. The breads were full of fungus at the breakfast. Management Worst management. No professionalism while booking and during stay. The stay is not worth spending...

My stay lasted merely an hour, and regrettably, the beachfront location, which comes at a premium, did not justify the cost. Here are some insights to aid your decisions:

Limited phone signal, except for BSNL, is a prevalent issue in the beach area. The lack of a proper entrance with signage led to a 45-minute search for access. The igloo-shaped rooms, despite their appealing exterior, suffer from poor ventilation, a musty smell, and inadequate amenities, including malfunctioning TV and AC. Advertised Wi-Fi is only available at the reception, primarily for UPI payments. Broken facilities, such as the children's play area, contribute to an overall disappointing experience. Notably, there is no complimentary breakfast. The receptionists exhibited a level of arrogance during my interaction.

I recently visited this resort during my vacation as the location looked promising. Since it was the off-season, I decided to walk in directly to check for availability. Upon calling the contact number listed on Google, I was informed that rooms were available but that the manager was not present. The person I spoke to then gave me the manager’s contact number but clearly mentioned that the manager would not answer my calls.

I later met this same person in person at the resort, and he repeated the same response—that the manager was unavailable and wouldn’t take my call. When I actually tried calling the manager, he didn’t answer at all. Out of curiosity, I visited again the next day to see if the manager was available or if they were taking bookings, but I received the exact same response.

This experience was quite strange. If they are not willing to take bookings or even communicate with potential guests, why is the resort even open? The lack of responsiveness and reluctance to accommodate guests raises serious concerns. Something feels off about how this property is being managed, and I would advise others to be cautious before considering...
