I’m writing this review in points because this place cannot be described in just a few words. 1. First and foremost, Agastya Camp stands out for its beautiful and special hosts, Debjani and Jayant. While the natural surroundings are stunning, what truly makes the place come alive is the way they treat every guest. Both Debjani and Jayant are the most beautiful souls I’ve ever met. 2. As for the camping area, it exceeded all my expectations. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a variety of sitting areas to relax in. You can enjoy both outdoor and indoor games, and they even have books to unwind with. The camp offers so much more than any typical campsite. I would rather call it a luxurious campsite with all possible amenities. 3. The tents were prepared before our arrival and were cleaned every day during our stay. They also provided fresh towels daily and ensured the bathrooms and washrooms were spotless, with separate bathrooms for shower. They even have geyser in 2 bathrooms for shower. 4. Now, about the food—wow, I’m speechless. They serve the most organic, delicious food that makes you feel right at home. There are no artificial ingredients, which is especially important to me as I have a sensitive stomach. The food is healthy, affordable, and absolutely tasty. I visited Agastya Camp to celebrate New Year’s Eve with my family, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The experience was peaceful and soulful, and I would love to return for a much longer stay. The New Year’s Eve buffet was absolutely mind-blowing! There was such an endless variety of food that I nearly exploded from overeating. And the live music you arranged was the perfect touch—really made everyone feel so connected through the music. Thank you so much, Debjani and Jayant, for making my family feel so happy and relaxed. Sending you both lots of love, support, and gratitude.❤️ Lastly, to anyone reading negative reviews, please remember that they often come from people who haven’t done their research. This is a camping site nestled in pure nature, not a resort in the middle of a city. Don’t let these reviews mislead you!

Camp agastya a mixed experience... Looking at all the raving reviews on the google maps I bought into the hype and decided to book this camp for a weekend getaway. But what I experienced there, was far from great. What works: 1. Location is beautiful and scenery is good. 2. Food if served, is tasty. 3. Camps are decent, since this was my first camping experience don't have anything to compare. What needs improvement: 1. Once you arrive there is no good parking area and don't bring your low ground clearance vehicle as it might get damaged. The owners are biased, they allowed people with BMW to park near the tents but when I tried, they told me to park near some random field and my car got damaged due to the big stones in the field. 2. The service is absolutely pathetic, we arrived, I asked the owners for water bottle and towel to be provided in the tent but it took them around 2 hours to provide the same. 3. They are severely understaffed and no food was served on time. 4. We opted for the dinner buffet which was 650rs/person and the serving time was 9 PM but we had to wait till 10:45 to get the food. The owners focused on only the people who were drinking and ordering starters and delayed the dinner buffet to make bank from the gullible drunkards. Don't come to this camp if you don't drink or smoke as their entire service is focused on this target group. 4. The food when served, was so little that half of the things were finished even before we got the chance to eat even once. Good job calling that a buffet. And once finished it will take from 20-30 mins to be available again, by that time you just want to sleep and don't want to wait for food like a beggar. 5. While they spent lot of time on cleaning the toilets the men's section was not clean as advertised. 6. Tents had very poor bedsheets. 7. I felt it was overprices we paid around 6k for 3 people for 1 night and I felt a normal hotel would have been better than this pathetic service. Most of the issues can be avoided by hiring more staff as I feel owners try to do everything by themselves. I would not recommend for non drinkers

This is one of the best getaway destinations, far from the city’s hustle and bustle, nestled within a forested area where you’ll find limited to no mobile network. We visited during the monsoon, and the surroundings were lush, green, and breathtaking, with clouds drifting lazily over the hill range. If you enjoy trekking, there are trails nearby to explore. Otherwise, you can simply spend your day at the campsite soaking in the views, strolling through the nearby woods, or relaxing by the gentle stream that flows right past the site. Our host for the day, Debjani, was exceptionally warm and hospitable. She looked after us with care and ensured most of our needs were met. The meals she served were fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious, cooked with so much love and passion that it truly came through in every bite. The staff was equally attentive and helpful, making the stay comfortable. The campsite itself is thoughtfully designed, spacious, well-planned, and spread out in groups of tents to maintain privacy. There are common spaces, a café, an activity area, and plenty of spots where you can just sit quietly and reconnect with yourself. The tents are cozy, equipped with beds and the basic facilities you’d need to feel comfortable, and the washrooms are kept clean and hygienic. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for us, and we’re already looking forward to visiting again. Just remember, this is a camping experience, not a resort or hotel. Come with the right mindset, embrace the outdoors, and most importantly, be kind and respectful to both the environment and the people around you.

Camp Agastya - it is a unique experience in itself. The journey starts with Nature (local flaura), the touch of native forest ambiance.

Once you enter the camp, you will be warmly welcomed by host to their lovely nurtured home - Agastya Camp beside Charvaka Cafe. What a lovely cafe!!! Surprised with name - the concept says - whatever it is, however it is, IT IS! You will get the taste of food as it is, as it should be!!! Simply amazing.

You will be welcomed with amazing homemade soft drink/soup/tea/etc. with seasonal availability. Absolutely global touch but raw taste, as it should be like I said before.

You will be briefed/ welcomed to your tend and to camp. Now it's time to have actual dishes and food to satisfy your hunger. Your choices of food will be reflected in food that what is served by Charvaka Cafe of Camp Agastya! I will say, it's difficult to express in words. To understand the genuineness of these served dishes you should have to taste it with absolute hunger then only you will be able to understand the taste. (Please refer image of dish, probably you will get idea and for information all served food are freshly cooked with specifically picked ingredients be chefs.)

And as we slowly moves forward you will be enjoying your own time with your loved ones with yourself and the night. The ambiance of camp will feed you the environment which will reflect in your thoughts. Simply amazing. The night sky, the stars, the chillness of atmosphere.

And as you move slowly to morning, your day will start with warm water, tea/coffee/ demanded tea. Point to be noted, you can ask for your version of tea/coffee. Or i will say, ask chef's version of coffee by defining what you want to taste with the ambiance and environment and you will be served best version of tea or coffee. And following the amazing breakfast, the choices of host and chef.

The experience!!!

To reach Camp Agastya, one can book and head towards It. The route can be accessed through via Karjat from Pune /Mumbai or Mumbai- Neral + Kashele- Agastya Camp. By taxi/by bike. Will suggest to have a chitchat with host if there is confusion. For reference am attaching the best routes which I have explored with the...

Camp Agastya is located on the foothills of Bhimashankar Hill. I went there for trekking. While returning, it was dark and I searched for a place to stay overnight. Some locals guided me to this place. Its a well maintained property deep inside the forest, where the host Debjani take care of guests personally. The kind of food they cooked and served me was a surprise. I couldn't expect Mutton barbeque and Shahi Biriyani will be my dinner. The ambience, crockery and service was at par with any star hotel. Then they provided me a luxury camp, with cot and thick mattress. There were only two more camps in the whole four acre land. The fence was well lit, the imported tents were well ventilated and as large as hotel room. I could hear the crickets, see the stars in the sky and listened to the incessant drizzling all night. I woke up with the first light of morning and chirping of birds. The magnificent hill range of Bhimashankar was infront of my eyes spanned around three sides of the property. I could see countless waterfalls. Two of the streams passes just along the fencing. There's a well maintained toilet which gave me the comfort of resort amid the lush green wilderness. There were so many trees and beautiful flower plants all around. A puppy and a kitten came to play with me, as if they'd known me already. The breakfast table was laid and again it was a large buffet. I guessed if all this was included in the tariff? And to my surprise Debjani smiled at me. It's all included. Frankly , this kind of hospitality was beyond my imagination in such a remote place. I came to know Debjani worked as a teacher. They built this property to come and relax in the weekends, away from the hustle bustle of Mumbai. They used to throw parties to their friends, who suggested them to start this camping for public. I was touched by everything that happened last weekend, trekking to Bhimashankar, meeting the lovely host Debjani, the mesmerizing beauty of this camp and ofcourse the delicious cuisines. I left the place reluctantly only to come back again. Highly recommended for people who appreciate nature, privacy, luxury and delicacies at a...
