Mixed Experience at Ekostay Villa: Great Food, Disappointing Caretaking

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Ekostay Forestwood Villa, and while the overall experience was pleasant, there were a few notable drawbacks that detracted from the enjoyment of our stay.

A. Accommodation: The villa boasted three bedrooms, which initially seemed perfect for our group of three couples. However, upon arrival, we discovered that two of the bedrooms were master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, while the third bedroom had a common bathroom. This arrangement meant that one couple had to compromise on their privacy and comfort, which was disappointing.

B. Food: One aspect of our stay that exceeded expectations was the quality of the food provided. The meals prepared by the chef were excellent, and we had no complaints in this regard. The culinary experience at the villa was definitely a highlight.

C. Caretaking: Unfortunately, our experience with the caretaker of the villa - Mr. Vaibhav, left much to be desired. Upon our early arrival, despite having infants with us, the caretaker was rude and unaccommodating. He refused to allow us to park our cars inside the villa premises, citing rules and regulations. This lack of flexibility and professionalism was disappointing, especially considering Ekostay's reputation. As a result, we were forced to seek refuge in an air-conditioned restaurant due to the extreme heat outside.

Note- When we were filling the Feedback form and started to mention about the problems we faced, Mr.Vaibhav got fairly impatient and tried to pick a fight with us. We calmly escaped from the heated situation and left the property. We were with three infants and didn't have the capacity to argue in such scorching heat.

D. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Throughout our stay, cleanliness and maintenance were areas of concern. The caretaker was frequently absent from the premises, leading to lapses in cleanliness. Basic amenities such as tissue papers and towels were not adequately provided, which was inconvenient for us as guests.

E. Power Outages: The villa experienced frequent power outages, which was particularly frustrating given the scorching heat outside. These disruptions made it uncomfortable to stay indoors, as we were left perspiring without relief. Also, there is no air conditioning system in the Living Room.

F. Pool Usage: While the villa boasted a nice pool, we were unable to fully enjoy it due to the presence of infants in our group. This limitation meant that we didn't utilize this amenity as much as we had hoped.

G. The garden of the villa was filled with debris and uneven ground packed with dry leaves and garbage. Hardly we took a stroll in the backyard. No wonder, the place is filled with mosquitoes throughout the day.

Overall, our experience at Ekostay Villa was average. While the food was excellent, the shortcomings in caretaking, cleanliness, and amenities detracted from our overall enjoyment. With improvements in these areas, the villa has the potential to offer a truly exceptional experience for guests. However, for now, I would caution others to manage their expectations...

“The Worst Stay of My Life – Unsafe, Unhygienic, and Completely Mismanaged”

I’m writing this review not out of frustration, but as a sincere warning to others considering a stay at Ekostay Forest Woods. What was meant to be a relaxing holiday turned into one of the most uncomfortable and unhygienic experiences I’ve ever had.

🛏️ BED BUG INFESTATION

From the first night, we noticed itching and red marks on our bodies. Turns out, the beds were infested with bed bugs. We couldn’t sleep, and the bites caused intense discomfort. We had to send all our clothes for professional laundry to prevent carrying the infestation back home.

🪳 COCKROACHES IN MULTIPLE ROOMS

There were cockroaches crawling in the bathrooms, the kitchen, and even near the beds. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable for a hospitality brand that claims to maintain cleanliness.

⚡ ELECTRICITY OUTAGE EVERY NIGHT

From 1:30 AM to 5:45 AM, there was no electricity at all. We were not informed about this at the time of booking. The AC doesn’t work on the inverter – only ceiling fans do. Imagine sweating and itching from bug bites in the middle of the night with no power, no lights, and no ventilation.

📶 ZERO MOBILE NETWORK

There is no mobile network inside the villa. Calls won’t go through, internet won’t work, and even emergency communication becomes difficult. It felt like we were completely cut off.

☎️ RUDE & UNHELPFUL CUSTOMER SUPPORT

The person we interacted with – Rachna – was completely insensitive, defensive, and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, she dismissed all our concerns and implied we were making it up – despite us sharing photos.

⚠️ BOTTOM LINE

This property is not safe, not clean, and not guest-friendly. It caused physical discomfort, emotional stress, and additional expenses for us (laundry, sanitization, medical care). The lack of accountability from Ekostay’s support team made it worse.

Please do not fall for the fake pictures and fancy descriptions online. I would never recommend this property to anyone. There are better, safer, and more professional options available at similar prices.

Avoid Ekostay Forest Woods. Your health, sleep, and peace of mind are not...

Worst Experience Ever

We paid 40k for two days, and it was a disaster. The property had three bedrooms, but the AC in two of them was continuously dripping water. We checked in at 2:30 pm, but the AC technician didn't arrive until 10:30 pm, right at our bedtime. He managed to fix only one AC and promised to return the next day to repair the other one, but he never showed up. As a result, we had to sleep without AC for both nights despite paying 40k.

Also, the heater was not working properly. There were no hangers provided to hang clothes, and one room didn't have a cupboard at all. If you are allergic, please carry your own towels. The towels provided are washed, but they have been used for so long that it is time for them to be discarded and replaced. There were frequent power cuts at the resort, and although they had a backup inverter, you could only use one fan and one light.

We went there for relaxation but ended up facing these issues, which ruined our vacation. Please don't be deceived by the photos they posted; they're 80% edited. Mrs. Sajana only provided updates through WhatsApp and was of no help at all. While the caretaker was decent and helpful, the overall experience was terrible. Think twice before investing 40k in this property; it's not worth it. I will definitely never book with Eco Stay Properties again...
