I recently had the opportunity to stay at Green Velvet Resort and would like to share my experience. Overall, the resort offers a pleasant stay with its picturesque lake and mountain views, decent complementary breakfast, and well-maintained amenities such as a TV, fridge, fan, and geyser. However, there were a couple of areas that fell short of my expectations.
The highlight of Green Velvet Resort is undoubtedly the breathtaking view it offers. Waking up to the sight of the serene lake and majestic mountains was truly a treat for the eyes. It provided a tranquil ambiance and added to the overall appeal of the resort.
The complementary breakfast provided by the resort was satisfying. The selection of dishes was decent, and the quality of the food was acceptable. It served as a good start to the day, ensuring guests were adequately fueled for their activities.
I was pleased to find that the in-room amenities, including the TV, fridge, fan, and geyser, were all in proper working condition. It's always reassuring when essential facilities are well-maintained and functional, allowing guests to enjoy a comfortable stay.
However, I do have a few areas of feedback for Green Velvet Resort. Firstly, the condition of the comforter provided was not up to par. It appeared worn-out and could definitely benefit from an upgrade. Additionally, the bed itself was not as soft as I had expected. It featured a standard wooden frame with a thin mattress on top, which was somewhat disappointing given the resort's overall image.
One aspect that particularly disappointed me was the issue with water bottles. Initially, the resort only provided a limited number of small bottles of water, after which guests were required to purchase additional bottles from them at high rates. On the day of checkout, in the morning, I was informed that complementary water bottles would not be available. However, after discussing the matter with the staff, they eventually provided them. Furthermore, it was disappointing to discover that even during dinner, we had to purchase water bottles separately. Considering the price of the stay, which amounted to 6K INR per day, I found it disheartening that this additional expense was necessary.
Small gestures and attentiveness towards guests' needs can make a significant difference in creating a positive and memorable experience. By addressing the concerns mentioned, such as improving the comforter and bed quality and ensuring the availability of complimentary water bottles throughout the stay, the resort has the opportunity to elevate its level of service and leave a lasting impression on its guests.

Read moreMe and my friend stayed at this resort for 1 night. Our experience at this resort was beyond expectations - the rooms, food, amenities, the location, the surrounding, the staff was spot on.
The rooms were clean and had all the amenities - solar hot water (24*7), intercom, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, coffee kettle and complimentary tea/coffee pouches, clean sheets and pillows. Each rooms have a balcony facing the lake in the front.
The food served at the restaurant was lip smacking. We enjoyed every bite of the meals we had here. Hats off to the chef!!
The staff at the resort was extremely hospitable and courteous. We two females felt absolutely safe staying at the resort especially on a weekday when there was no crowd.
The location of this resort is what makes it a best place to stay. No sound of traffic and zero pollution. All you can feel is clean and fresh air. The resort is built in the laps of nature and at an elevation which gives beautiful sight from the rooms and pool. The resort is very beautifully done. It has well maintained pool and a game room as well.
Couple of things can be improved - one, there are lot of cats freely roaming in the garden area. Since I am not a pet person that was bothering me a lot. The management should not let pets to roam freely around or declare it to be a pet friendly resort so that people like me can make a conscious call; second, the management should let guests check-in/check-out few hours early/late if their rooms are not booked. We requested for early check-in and late check-out but were denied saying that they will have to keep rooms vacant only for us and will have to pay half of the rooms tariff. When we reached there, we found that only one couple was staying and the entire resort was empty as it was a weekday.
Other than these two drawbacks, it is an absolutely great place to relax and...
