Stayed here for a couple of nights. The property is very well themed and constructed. Lots of greenery within the property and every cottage gets good personal garden space with tables and bonfires (none feasible due to monsoon currently). Viewing deck is well thought of, spotted various species, peacocks as well! 10/10 for the outsides.

Rooms are okayish, with a decent bed (not the typical spring mattress you find in hotels, which was better imo). Lots of space inside, could have had a couch as well as there is no other seating space inside the room. They do provide two chairs and a swing in the 'balcony' for all rooms - we took the chairs inside when required. Bathroom is as well decent and hygienic but the hot water was too slow and takes some time considering the normal temperature in monsoon. Can do better in rooms. 6/10 for the rooms

Food is delicious. Breakfast is very basic but tasty and homely - just what you'd want to have in the morning. The only challenge is that they take a lot of time. Breakfast was ready by 8:45 AM when about 90% of the guests were awake since 6-7 AM and roaming around the property. You won't find any other place nearby to eat as well, so you have to starve if you wake up early. Same goes for lunch and dinner, as you have to order everything well in advance (2-3 hours prior) as they make everything fresh, but it still takes a lot of time. Would be able to cook quite a lot within that much time at home. They do provide basic dishes like soups and maggi quickly. However, if you plan well, you will like it as the food is delicious. Would highly recommend working on time aspect though. Food 9/10 for taste but 5/10 for time.

They provide activities, we went for a safari where they take you to a few local points in an open jeep. Experience is worth the amount. Was very foggy so couldn't really see a lot. Spa is also very good - both recommended. They have a small trail/trek of 10 mins to the waterfall, very peaceful and serene. Indoor and outdoor games/sports are also available. Swimming pool is also good but too cold right now to get into it! Activities is 8/10.

Location is also peaceful, especially considering the crowd you get in core Mahabaleshwar which is about 30 mins from here. Last 500m odd stretch to the hotel is the kaccha rasta people are talking about where only one car can fit in but isn't something you should be worried about as that road only goes to the property so won't find any traffic issues.

Overall a good stay - would...

Here is the recent update of my repeat say at Gurusparsh - The staff members and the manager of the hotel continue to be very cordial and professional as before. Due to some issue faced during the Jeep safari, they waived off my entire cost of the safari which was very nice of them. Lunch cost has been reduced from earlier, which is a good improvement. They are soon going to start another restaurant servicing snacks that are not available in the current restaurant.

The only issue remain is the approach road - it is still quite narrow and 2 cars cannot pass at the same time on the 1 km stretch.

Stayed on this property last week with family. Pros: Very neat and clean, well maintained property. We stayed at Cliff view room which is very spacious, well maintained and has a great view of the valley. Good Car parking facility. Have a well maintained swimming pool and garden landscape. Resort staff are helpful and proactive. Movie screening in open lawn during the evening hours - feels nice about the experience. Doing Jungle safari on an open 4 wheel drive jeep is a must experience. Special mention to Sagar who took us for Jungle safari and showed us different places proactively and enthusiastically. Cons: Food is slightly overpriced, a veg thali costed Rs. 325. Also bonfire barbeque faculties are costly. Slight decrease in price (around 10-15%) should be thought about so that more people can opt for the same. There are many activities mentioned there but most of them are seasonal and might not function all the time. Approach road to the resort is very narrow, if 2 cars come from opposite directions, then they cannot pass. Please think of increasing the approach road's width. Jungle safari price is 400 per person for 1.5 hrs drive, it should be slightly reduced. Also providing tea/coffee during the safari that is prepared from the resort should be offered. This will enhance the customer's experience.

Due to the cons listed above, I have deducted 1 star. This resort has all the right ingredients to be very popular, just need to work on the cons and also increase the rooms capacity...

A Memorable Anniversary Stay at Gurusparsh Resort, Bhilar

I recently spent my first anniversary with my wife at Gurusparsh Resort in Bhilar, near Mahabaleshwar. The experience exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and nature-filled getaway.

Ambiance and Location:

The resort is nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Bhilar, offering breathtaking views, fresh air, and a tranquil atmosphere. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and nature, with well-maintained cottages that provide a peaceful retreat.

Hospitality and Service:

The staff, especially Ganesh, Bharat, and Mohit, were incredibly professional, humble, and attentive. They made sure we felt welcomed and well-cared-for throughout our stay. The service was exceptional, and they went out of their way to meet our requests. The authentic Maharashtrian food served was delicious, although the paneer quality could be improved.

Food and Dining:

The meals were one of the highlights of our stay, especially the strawberry cake—it was amazing, far better than many high-end places in metro cities. We also enjoyed fresh strawberries and mulberries, which were arranged for us to take home at a reasonable price. The food, especially the local dishes, was flavorful and satisfying.

Facilities:

While the resort was fantastic, I’d recommend adding mini fridges in the rooms for added convenience, particularly for storing fresh fruits and drinks.

Overall Experience:

Overall, Gurusparsh Resort is a wonderful place for a relaxing stay with beautiful views, excellent food, and outstanding service. The staff is attentive, the surroundings are serene, and the overall experience was memorable. We’re looking forward to visiting again...

Recently stayed at Gurusparsh Resort in Panchgani and had a truly wonderful experience! The resort is set at an outstanding location, close to the city yet surrounded by peaceful nature. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — always kind, smiling, and ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms offer a beautiful view of the valley and nature. The property itself has a unique charm — it’s located in Bhilar, famously known as “पुस्तकाचे गाव” (village of books), and this resort is themed around the Story genre. Loved finding storybooks in the rooms and lobby! The room decor is classic and simple, giving a pure and aesthetic vibe without any over-the-top luxury. Food deserves a special mention: everything tasted so homely, like it was cooked by our moms! We especially enjoyed the breakfasts, Chinese starters, and chicken tikka biryani — all made with love and local touch. The resort offers complimentary activities like archery, cricket, badminton, board games, and an open-air movie theater at night (except during rainy season). Private bonfire and live BBQ are available at extra cost but not during monsoon. A highlight was the exclusive access to Bhilar waterfall (just a short trek away) and a small jeep safari (₹300 per person) to a mesmerizing reverse waterfall and cloud-kissed viewpoints. They also do berry farming in winter, which we hope to see on our next visit. Overall, our stay was outstanding — peaceful, homely, and heartwarming. Definitely planning to visit again in winters for new experiences! Highly recommended if you want a stay that feels close to nature and home. 🌿📚✨

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort nestled in lush green surroundings, offering an unforgettable escape into nature. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the tranquil ambiance, vibrant greenery, and the soothing sounds of nature enveloping the entire property. The highlight of my stay was the private access to a stunning waterfall. It felt like stepping into a hidden paradise—just me and the sound of cascading water, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. It was the perfect spot for moments of peace and reflection. The service at the resort was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, always greeting me with warm smiles and ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. Their attention to detail truly made the experience stand out. The food was another highlight. Every meal was a delightful culinary journey, with a menu offering delicious and freshly prepared dishes. Whether I was enjoying a hearty breakfast or a relaxing dinner under the stars, the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Overall, my stay at this resort was an extraordinary experience. The combination of breathtaking natural beauty, top-notch service, and delicious cuisine made it a truly memorable getaway. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.

Serene place, out of the world service and breathtaking views from the balcony. We stayed here with our extended family and loved every minute of our stay. The owner, Ganesh, gave us a good briefing about the stay. He even went to the extent of explaining to us the story behind making each room. That shows the kind of involvement he has in his work. He ensured we had a lovely stay and accommodated all our requests. There is a jungle safari in the old styled Mahindra Jeep at INR 300 per person. We didn't really see any wild animals but the trip itself was fun driving through the forest area. The driver, Sagar, took us to a nearby ancient temple which was well kept. Then he took us to a spot to have a good view of the sunset. The resort has a play area for badminton, archery, volley ball, etc. where families can have a good time together. The restaurant food was good. The rooms are clean and the staff takes care to maintain hygiene. They also have a small strawberry farm where you can pick strawberries and buy them. The only issue we faced was that another guest came with two dogs and they didn't bother to keep them on leash. And one of the dogs leaped on my son while he was paying. The resort staff should ensure that guests keep their pets on leash in the public space.
