Terrible Experience... I had an extremely unpleasant stay at this hotel in Shani Shingnapur, and I strongly advise other travelers to avoid booking this property. First and foremost, the hygiene standards were shockingly poor. The bedsheets were not only visibly dirty but also had signs of fungus and were torn. There were no basic amenities provided—no towels, no soap, and not even a bottle of drinking water in the room. The air conditioner was completely ineffective, even after being set to 16°C for over two hours. The room remained hot and uncomfortable throughout the night. One of the most unacceptable incidents was that electricity was deliberately cut at 4 a.m., seemingly as a tactic to force guests to check out early and save on AC power costs. This is both unethical and extremely inconvenient, especially in a place with hot weather conditions. It felt like the hotel was trying to push guests out to quickly make the room available for new bookings. The staff behavior was unprofessional and unhelpful. After booking, there was no one available to assist or respond to any concerns. Furthermore, despite booking through OYO at a confirmed price, the hotel initially demanded more money upon arrival. After a disagreement, they eventually accepted the OYO rate, but the experience was stressful and unnecessary. Overall, this was a horrible experience—poor cleanliness, no basic services, non-functional AC, unethical practices, and unresponsive staff. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel and considering other accommodations that actually respect their guests and uphold basic hospitality standards.

I had booked a stay at this hotel through OYO Rooms. However, upon arrival, I was met with an unpleasant surprise. The property staff behaved oddly when I mentioned my online booking and informed me that they had requested OYO to remove their listing, which had apparently not been done. As a result, they refused to honor my reservation and instead charged me a significantly higher rate than what was originally confirmed. To make matters worse, the room provided was in extremely poor condition. It was unhygienic, with dirty bedsheets, unclean bathroom, and non-functional basic amenities such as the basin tap. They didn’t provide even the most basic necessities like a water bottle or a soap bar. The air conditioner was not working properly, and to make matters worse, they disconnected the AC in the middle of the night, claiming that “this is how they operate.”

This lodge and its staff engage in unethical practices by forcefully preventing visitors from accessing the temple’s official parking. Instead, they compel you to park in their lot and pressure you to buy overpriced items in the name of spirituality. For instance, we were charged an outrageous ₹600 for a single thali. These actions are deceptive and take advantage of people’s faith. It’s important to note that there is a separate parking area near the temple where you can park your vehicle without any hassle, also you can get decent accommodation there with decent price and offerings can be purchased at reasonable prices near the temple entrance. Avoid getting misled by this lodge and its shop. Such exploitation in the name of spirituality is unacceptable.

This particular property has lot of potential to be a 4 star property provided it's owner OR Agoda / OYO handle it with professionalism.

It is very near to Shani Temple which gives the property 10/10 for location.

It is half constructed property due to which walls in all rooms has leakage. Had the owner completed the construction, it would have been fantastic property as the design of building is very impressive.

It is less operated property hence there is lack of staff (Budget issue of course), which lead to adverse effect on Cleanliness, Service etc.

Though AGODA offers room with breakfast, be rest assured that you won't be getting bottle of drinking water also.

So go there considering the local lodge and not the hotel property.

BUT I must suggest to AGODA / OYO and Owner that they must look into the development of this property. It will be a game changer in...
