First and foremost important thing - This hotel or bungalow or whatever you would like to say is situated at a location where you won't find any kind of shop or service nearby. It is literally outside of Dapoli. And it is terribly at a distance of 12 km from beach. Even though in pictures it looks like bungalow it is really not the one. It is just the case that owner raised his property as a "side business" and have put two rooms on terrace and claiming it be full bungalow. Once you enter into room you will find one small and ridiculously steep staircase which leads to one level upper room. And owner calls it bungalow experience! Stairs are so steep that it is literally difficult even for young people to climb on it. From safety point of view this is incredibly ridiculous. Owner claims this property to be like "Feel at home" experience. But he is ridiculously confused as how to deal with customers. For one occasion he will treat you with politeness and for other occasion he will be arrogant maniac. What owner calls the double bed is actually single bed. There is one height of absurdity related to hot water facility here. Owner straight forwardly tells you that this is not Pune or Mumbai and you don't expect full luxury of hot water here. I don't know why he hates people from Pune or Mumbai. But it is clearly visible from conversation he becomes conscious when you tell him that you are from Pune or Mumbai. The funny thing is that even though there are two bathrooms there is only one geyser connection and if hot water tap is set ON in one bathroom then you cant get hot water (or even cold water) in other bathroom. That's some sort of magic his plumber did! On top of it all owner is confused about how much to charge and not. Initially we were told that charges are Rs 2000 for one day. Later when he saw small 4 kids of age less than 1.5 year with us he said charges are Rs 2500. Nowhere in any hotel cheap or luxurious there are charges for kids. But since owner is mathematically confused he will make you confused about how much to pay. Since his bungalow (which he claims it to be) is situated at outskirts we needed to do up and down in Dapoli city for dinner food. If you request owner something (say bottle of coke or milk for kid) then he will go into city and add "extra service charge" in addition of coke or milk. That's because he needs to go on his bike and bring the stuff for you. But he wont explain it to you in advance. So I strongly advice to stay away from this confused bungalow otherwise you will end up in negotiating (politely or arrogantly) for everything rather than enjoying your stay. I can understand that this might be new business for owner and that's why he is not yet certain about how to treat people and he might be learning but I don't want to become his case study...
