The name of this place 'homestay' is perfect for what it really is. I stayed here for two nights and three days from 22nd January 2024 to 23 January 2024.
I was pleasantly surprised to find such kind of hotel in a small place like Deorukh. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in five star hotels. Here my deluxe room was big, spacious, bed comfortably firm. The bathroom was claen , had a Western toilet, a shower with a gas hot water geiser. There is a nice TV with most of the important channels. The fans were noiseless and the room had a net, so no entry for mosquitoes.
There is greenery all around with nice shade trees. There is zhoola in the garden on which I had most of my meals.
First night a prawns curry with rice, morning double egg omlette with toast butter and jam, a hot coffee; next lunch was chicken curry konkani style with Sol kadhi and fresh lime soda, next morning the same breakfast, and the lunch it was simply wow. A fresh bangda curry, fried bangda, Sol kadhi, fresh lime soda and rice. It was so well presented that I am enclosing a photo. The food prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity.
Most importantly are the two people Aarati Kulkarni and Laxmikant Sarpotdar. Aarati who looks after almost everything like reception, billing, room service. She is very courteous full of smile and is just a phone call away for all your needs. Her husband Laxmikant though an operations manager for the whole group has no ego issues with being a brakfast cook or giving room service. They both are very courteous smiling people and make you really feel at home.
I would strongly recommend this place any outsider visitor be it a banker, an officer or a businessman, a family or a honeymoon couple. It's a great value for money. I was lucky to have found this kind of place in a small town like Deorukh.
It's a great place for spiritual sadhana for it's silence, solitude. There is a Swami Samarth math next door that has high uplifting spiritual energy.
For businessmen it is great for you can hold private business meetings here away from nosey spies. You can develop business relationships by inviting potential partner for lunch or dinner or private party.
For sight seeing visitors with families with children also it's a great place. It's safe from traffic with lots of playing room and running place. There are many nearby sight seeing places like Ganapati Pule, temples. The manager Aarati can organise excellent vehicles fir day trips.
This place is excellent for honeymoon couples too. It's very romantic with lots of privacy. They don't have to even step out of their rooms. There is an excellent room service.
PS. It's not very far from Deorukh bus stand just Rs 60 for a one way trip. It's just 19 kms from Sangameshwar railway station. Aarati has a.list of a number of auto drivers and taxi drivers who will take you back to Deorukh for work; or pick and drop you from Sangameshwar railway station for your arrival...
Read moreNestled in the quiet little hamlet of Devrukh near Marleshwar temple, O’Nest was a serendipitous find. Serene surroundings, a chuckling stream right next to the property, wonderful food and great service! We stumbled upon this place and spent a memorable 3 days here.
Besides the spectacular waterfalls at Marleshwar, we discovered lots of equally beautiful waterfalls within a 35 km radius of the property. Parshuramwadi waterfalll is hardly 6 kms from the hotel and we had a wonderful time sitting under it and getting an awesome massage. The other waterfalls nearby Devale waterfalll, Chaphavle waterfall and Dhodavne are picturesque spots and definitely worth spending a day visiting.
What is not known to the casual traveller is that this place is very close to the world heritage site Chandoli National Park teeming with wildlife including tigers and leopards.
For people who love wildflowers, the roads were lined with meadows of Hiwali Sonki - a kind of groundsel, wild balsams, glory lilies and a host of other flowers.
Most of all, we loved the attitude of the local people who were, as a rule, very helpful.
O’Nest has wonderful people working for them. The chefs - Vinod and Suresh in particular need special mention here. O’Nest is a group of hotels and we look forward to visiting their farms and hotels in other places in the Konkan area. Do ask for their special Modaks - we got a bit addicted to this delicacy there.
I strongly recommend a stay here during and after the monsoons if you are a...

My stay at Onest Luxury Resort was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in a peaceful setting, the location of the resort is truly breathtaking. Surrounded by tall trees and a serene river flowing behind the property, it feels like a tranquil retreat in the lap of nature. The resort is artistically designed, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings, offering a magnificent escape from the hustle and bustle.
The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. However, one minor drawback was the lack of an intercom system, which meant we had to walk to the main area for any assistance—a bit inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. Additionally, there was no Wi-Fi in the part of the resort where our room was located, which could be a concern for those needing constant connectivity.
Despite these small issues, the staff more than made up for it. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always willing to assist and make our stay as pleasant as possible.
A highlight of the stay was dining at their in-house restaurant, Oleaf. The food was exceptional, with the chefs preparing authentic Konkani dishes for us. Every meal, both dinner and breakfast, was bursting with flavor and truly satisfying.
If you're looking for a place to unwind and relax, immersed in nature, I highly recommend Onest Luxury Resort. It’s the perfect getaway to rejuvenate and enjoy some...
