Pawna Lake Camping by Pawnacamp — Hotel in Maharashtra

This review is about Campsite I (Couples) - Camping date - 28th Jan. I have seen the owner responding to reviews and hence thought to share a few points with the perspective that it's taken with a positive mindset because my only intention is to make the fellow members camping service/experience even better. While I-camp is categorized as deluxe and charged extra compared to regular sites, the real value for money is comparatively less. Just adding a few extra items to breakfast, and charging extra under name of Deluxe is not right and will not help in the long term considering many-many more options available across the lake.

While the staff is helpful, the location is good, booking experience and road guidance coordination is good, here are a few points which were not met to full expectations and seem scope of improvement. There seem few points that make me think that the concerned owner is money minded than value addition. Particularly they charge more than all other camping available options across the lake.

A suggestion is to add coffee as part of evening snacks. The tea was good though. The pakoda seems to be half-cooked and not crispy even though we were the first few to have snacks. The atmosphere is cold around due to the lake and hence half cooked and non-crispy ruins the experience. The games are average quality with few broken stuff/carrom boards which seem namesake instead of real fun. The food area tables are not cleaned immediately after snacks, dinner/breakfast, which ruins the experience. Practice should be to get the food area cleaned immediately. The live guitar was for 40-45 minutes and this timing was not mentioned anywhere. But performer was good.

There is no difference between regular and deluxe tents. At least better bedding could have been provided. It was just 1 inch of foam sheet and no difference from the regular tents. From hygiene-wise, tents seem decent though. NonVeg-BBQ was not fully cooked even though we were the first few to have BBQ. Veg BBQ, Panner was not tasty. Seems it was rushed to be served and not self-quality-tasted. Though non-veg dinner was unlimited and really tasty. The Panner in Veg dinner was not tasty. Hope that owner takes all this with a positive mindset and helps for a better experience for any fellow camping. Alongside also appreciate the owner that has carefully segregated tents to per right groups (friends / families / couples etc). This is a nice point of this camping site. But adding a little more value could be the right thing to do. Youtube reviews might help to get one-time visitors but will NOT bring any repeat/mouth of word recommendation to any friends/families / corporate...

Must read.please dont go there specially during special events like new year or christmast etc etc.,they will definately spoil it.If possible,visit during off season only. Pathetic experience! giving 1 star because it's the least one could give. Had recently been there to celebrate New year & the experience was just horrible! Had paid twice the normal price(3000rs per person) but did not get even overall service of 300rs in return. 1)we reached there at around 8:30-45pm and were served no starters.Just half barbequed raw potatoes that tasted horrible nd a few pieces of chicken pieces for 10ppl. At 9pm they closed the serving saying it is the closing time of starters! New year's eve and starters closed at 9!seriously!!Even after asking for more,they did not give any. 2)Location was not gud(camp site F) and all the camps were placed soo closely that it was luking like some refugee camp site.So messed up! 3)Dinner(chicken biriyani and veg biriyani)was gud but very very late service. 4)It was soo cold and they did not provide any bonfire themself,had to ask them for it and then they provided it with no extra efforts afterwards nd the bonfire lasted for only 30mins. 5)No tea/coffee service at night. 6)Couldn't sleep the whole night ,kept shivering as it was soo cold and what they had provided in the tents were very very thin cheap 100rs blankets which were of no use and in the name of bed sheet just a thin piece of cloth! 7)In the morning as they had mentioned in their so called flashy-newyear eve advertisement ,the breakfast was supposed to start by 8am nd boiled eggs,maggie,poha ,bananas were claimed to be available.But in morning they said only poha is there and they are preaparing it.We waited for 1 hour but dont know what variety of poha were they making that it was taking ages to be prepared. Any sign of breakfast was not there till 9:15 and we left having no breakfst. We had visited the same pavna lake camping on april 2018(off season) but that time it was good.The location(camp site E) was gud, the service was gud,breakfast was on time nd varities were there.but this time it was just horrible. Wish we cud have used those 30000rs somewhere else and had a lavish party elsewhere.Will recommend not...

HONEST REVIEW: There are many lake site camps available in the location, which is very confusing. We have booked our stay here. About our experience: We booked "Pawnacamp: C - Only Families" as we are a group of families BUT on the morning of the travel date we got a call from Pawnacamp that they had fewer tents available and they were shifting us to the "Pawnacamp: F site", we showed our concern as we are families they said "F" site has only couples and families there will be no bachelor groups. But, when we arrived after some hours we saw groups of bachelors also shifted, one group had come to a cartoon of alcohol. We do not have problems with bachelors but if they spread nonsense and disturb the families then that is not a good thing so we have reported this to the caretaker who was present at the site at that time. They said if they disturb us then inform them as that "F" site is for all. We feel cheated as they now backed from their commitment. The result is the "Alcohol Party" bachelor group spoiled the night as the whole night they sat behind our tent and had a party, nonsense talks with loud music ... and there was no one from the Pawnacamp site to listen to our concerns even no one receiving the calls. The experience was not at all good as we had sleepless nights.

GOOD THINGS: The location: One can visit the place if you enjoy living with nature. The tent: The tent was good, one can visit if they want to spend the night in a tent at the lakeside. Campfire along with guitarist (local Performer but Good). You can go kayaking boating in the lake and enjoy.

BAD THINGS: Food Toilet (No separate toilet for Male and Female, Not at all clean) Activities - no sports activities arranged by the Pawnacamp organizer, there are old kinds of sports stuff available like bat ball badminton, carom board, etc at the dinner area, you can pick stuff and play where you want to play. Not very entertaining. There are false commitments Fees: Expensive not justified the stay.

Takeaways: It is good for a time experience, But make sure if you visiting with family and kids book and make sure to get the family site camp else you may end up with a bad...
