Please Note: Mr. Ravi and Ms. Rachel The Accountant's misbehavior at site: ⭐ (1 out of 5) The only other disrespectful person on the site was the accountant. The worst worker I've ever encountered. He obviously wanted me to write negative reviews. In fact, he instructed me to. Because of him and his attitude, I am deducting one star alone. If I had been the owner, I would have kicked him out of the place right away. There is no place for someone in the service or hospitality industry who cannot manage a customer. In an act of modesty, I held back from hitting him in front of the other employees.
Myra, Gayathri, and Pallavi in particular did excellent work that saved the day. They handled us with grace and knowledge. I remained at your place because of them; otherwise, the accountant was getting on my nerves. The three of them were the ones who kept this scenario under control. Bravo to your trio for demonstrating that excellent conduct always garners favorable feedback. 5 out of 5 stars for Myra, Gayathri, and...
Read moreOur family trip to Red Earth was one of those incredible holidays that stays with you long after you've returned home. We went expecting a great wildlife experience, but we found something far more deep & profound—a place with a genuine heart, driven by incredible people and a deep respect for nature.
The true magic of Red Earth lies with its team. Our naturalists, Jeswin, Jezreena, and Sanat, were the highlight of our stay. Their knowledge of Tadoba's flora and fauna is immense, but it's the passion & the storytelling that captivates you. Jeswin and Jezreena transformed our safaris from simple drives into stories about the community, the different types of birds and plants and we connected like we were friends for a long time! Their advice to prioritize the buffer zones over the core was brilliant —our sightings were fantastic :) If you visit & are interested beyond just the tigers, do see if one of them can accompany you
This culture of warmth is prevalent across the entire property. At the restaurant, the staff, all members of the local community, greeted us with such sincere smiles. They were highly accommodating and went above and beyond to take care of any request, making every meal a great experience. The food itself was delicious (do not miss the tea from Sameer!) and was a reward after long safaris!
The property is a work of art and a heaven for nature lovers of all ages. Our little one enjoyed every corner of the thoughtfully created experiences: the bamboo bridge, the butterfly garden, and a 'bug hotel'. For us, the beauty was in the details of our cottage—the extensive, beautifully finished wood and antique touches created such a rustic experience. It’s a space designed to make you feel connected to your surroundings.
It's clear that Red Earth is a passion project for its creators, Rachel & Ravi. You can feel their vision everywhere—in the design, the support for the local community, and their goal of connecting travelers with nature in an authentic way.
We came home with so many beautiful memories. We are already planning another trip to share this special place with our aging parents. For a stay that nourishes the soul as much as it excites the senses, we cannot recommend Red Earth highly enough :)...
Read moreWe stayed at this property for two days. While the property itself is decent, it is horribly managed and maintained. Here are our main concerns:||||Health Issues: We experienced eye irritation and severe diarrhea after using the tap water in our room (evidence attached). It's highly likely that this contaminated water is also used in meal preparation.||||Inconvenient Dining Experience: Do not expect a pleasant dining experience. There is no room service, you can't enjoy wine in the restaurant, and you can't have dinner in the bar. These locations are 150 meters apart, making it impossible to have a relaxed experience.||||Unprofessional Staff and Food Incident: Our food order was denied because the tandoor was not operational due to a lack of staff. However, we found half the staff drinking in the bar, including the manager. They were loud, inappropriate, and made female guests uncomfortable with their hyena-like laughs. This place is run under the guise of sustainable tourism, but the staff is untrained and unprofessional.||||Special Occasion Letdown: Do not go there to celebrate any special occasions. You cannot have a proper wine-dine experience after spending a significant amount of money. The inability to get room service, enjoy wine at the restaurant, or have dinner at the bar ruins the special experience.||||Overpriced and Corrupt Practices: The place is run by a bunch of nibba-nibbis who call themselves naturalists, trying to sell overpriced safaris and cheat guests. They ask for under-the-table tips and bribes for basic services. Despite being told outside liquor is not allowed, we saw staff and other guests drinking their own alcohol.||||Lack of Basic Amenities: The intercoms do not work, and despite needing to walk around at night, no torches are provided. Communication with the reservations desk is difficult.||||Power and Water Issues: There are frequent power cuts, and the backup takes 15 minutes to kick in. We experienced 15-20 power cuts in two days, leaving us without water during these times.||||Security Concerns: There is no security at the gate, leaving your vehicle at risk.||||Avoid this place, especially with family, as it will ruin...
