Lovely place to spend lazy weekends! the food was yumm :)
Rooms are neat and clean, so are the washrooms. In our room bedding did smell of massage oil, but got it changed. Also since the rooms dont have any windows or glass which opens up, the rooms smell a little musty, they did spray a nice room freshner but I would recommend that you carry some scented candles or oil/water aroma diffuser to add the right mood to the room. The beds are comfy and we did not find any discomfort sleeping. The rooms have large glass windows which are covered with wooden blinds, my recommendation - for complete privacy turn the blinds upward, if you turn them down people can still peep in your room, also watch out for the corners where 2 blinds overlap, theres some gap there as well!
They have a good spread for the breakfast, not too jazzy but tastefully done, try reaching early for the breakfast as it is typically set at around 7.30am,try the masla omlette - it did take 30 mins for the chef to prepare but in the end it was way yummy :) Their masala chai is a real saviour on chilly mornings:) They have a weird policy of switching on tv early morning playing mostly music channels, my recommendation to the management is to put some tranquil music or not play anything as people come to relax and quiet mornings with birds chirping are much more preferred! For lunch we tried the fried rice and manchurian which was well made ,one must try the tandoori chicken - it had the right amount of juice. The food is a bit pricy but is well made!
They do have a spa, but unfortunately their masseur called in sick. I would recommend people who love to pamper themselve to prebook their appointment or try out the Kare Ayurveda facility which is adjacent to the resort, they provide a full day package, so one can reach the resort early morning, drop their bags at the reception and head out to Kare for a day of pampering, return to the resort by early evening and relax.
The swimming pool was well managed, the cleanest pool I have seen till date at any resort. They provide towels at the pool deck and you can play your music as well, so dont forget to carry your BT speakers (ensure you dont disturb other guests)
They have a great play area, and they provide you with badminton racquets, shuttlecocks, cricket equiment, football, volleyball. They also have a pool table, a table tennis table and a carrom board. They also have mtb bicycles but guests are not allowed to ride them out of the property, which was a bummer, as it would have been great to explore the surrounding areas riding a bike!
overall a good place to relax an unwind, must try if you are looking for a nice breakout!
Cheers!
Note: Do carry your own booze as it is quite hard to get good liquor around. Also as every other resort the price for booze at the resort is quite high, but in case if you forget - they have happy hrs (2+1) from...
Read moreThis resort is ideal if you want a quick gateaway from city and absorb sweeping panoramic views of Mulshi lake. Location is really serene and calm. Although tariff can be very high.
Detailed review: Location: Very close to Mulshi lake. This resort is situated on a hill slip overlooking the lake. The view from topmost rooms is quite stunning. Lake in the center flanked by hills on either sides. It is a joy to sit outside your lake view room and absorb these panoramic views!
Rooms: I have stayed 2 times here, in lake view room. These rooms have the best view but can be quite expensive as well. Most interesting aspect is small verranda at room's entrance which has a swing, in which you can sit and soak up all the serenity in front of you! Outside these rooms there are some table and chairs which you must sit around at night. Starry sky above you, cool breeze, mountains and lake in front of you is an experience you must not miss. In the room there's a large sofa near a huge glass paned window which overlooks the garden and the lake view. Interiors are very tastefully furnished. Beautiful golden light table lamps everywhere. So the lighting is quite classy and pleasing to the eyes. Ample use of golden highlights on furniture and wooden window blinds are used. This whole theme gives your room rich and premium feel. Bathroom is also quite interestingly designed. Bright red painted walls, large mirror, shower enclosure with large glass panes again covered with wooden window blinds. This room has all amenities that you need like electric kettle, tea, coffee kits, hair dryer, large cupboard etc. Housekeeping staff sometimes goof up in keeping towels or AC maintenance. That'd be my only complaint.
Premises: I won't call the resort premises to be really enticing but it is elegantly done. There are two lawns which are neatly maintained. There's a pretty swimming pool as well. I enjoyed this thoroughly. There is pool, snooker and other games in a room somewhere as well. Gardens are beautifully manicured.
Service: Staff is quite prompt and courteous. Especially restaurant staff who are really helpful and attentive. Ms Ambreen was really wonderful and served us well. Although the front desk staff could really be more lively and welcoming.
Food and restaurant. The restaurant here very elegant looking though a bit small. Food is so damn tasty, it is really among some of the best resort food experience I've had till now. The have buffet dinners which you must not miss. Spread is small but super delicious. Their chef is really talented. The breakfast spread is also quite good and everything is above par in quality and taste.
Conclusion: A must visit resort in Mulshi area which really helps you unwind with a lap of luxury and beautiful scenic location. Though resort tariff can be quite expensive at nearly ₹10,000 a night. We've stayed at around ₹5k at...
Read moreDisappointing Stay at Residency Lake Resort and Spa||I stayed at Residency Lake Resort and Spa from 19th to 20th November 2024 and booked a Panoramic Lake View room, excited about the serene escape advertised online. Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the expectations set by the resort’s glowing photos and descriptions.||Misleading Room View:|The primary reason I chose this property was the promise of an unobstructed lake view from my room. However, the view was partially blocked by newly constructed rooms, which was not mentioned during booking. This was a major letdown, as the advertised "panoramic" view was the highlight of the booking.||Room and Bathroom Maintenance Issues:|The room had Venetian blinds that were not functioning properly, leaving the interior visible from outside—a serious privacy concern. Additionally, the bathroom blinds were damaged, adding to the discomfort. I expect better upkeep from a property positioned as premium.||Subpar Food and Service:|The dining experience left much to be desired. Hi-tea was served in semi-washed cutlery, which had to be replaced after I raised the issue. Breakfast was poorly managed despite a small weekday crowd. Food items were not replenished on time, and guests (myself included) had to search for staff to serve or assist.||there Cafe outside sitting tables were not properly cleaned, and we had to make repetitive request.||Kids’ Play Area Neglect:|The kids' play area was waterlogged and muddy, making it unusable. This was especially disappointing as it was one of the key features we were looking forward to for our child.||Swimming Pool Facilities:|While the pool itself was clean, the changing rooms were not well-maintained, detracting from what could have been a relaxing experience.||Final Thoughts:|The location of this resort has immense potential, but the lack of maintenance, poor service, and failure to meet advertised standards significantly impacted our stay. For the premium pricing, I expected much better. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to ensure future guests have a better...
