Hill side harrier as of 15th April 2025 is an under construction property. If you are looking to book this that means you ran out of options and are coming here based on Images. Location: Past tiger point, lion point in lonavala near to Maka bava restraunt. There is a small security outpost with a gated property. The internal roads are very steep and parking is available for 4-5 vehicles.
Actual property: There is 0 open space attached to any of the huts. There is a 4 ft x 20 ft gully with rooms lining one side and a 12 ft wall on the other. No garden, no lawn no swimming pool, no sit out area, nothing. You have to climb 2 storeys of steps to reach the main area activity and “ reception” which is just a room with a dusty carrom board ( the only available activity) The rooms : The more expensive rooms have a 5m x 7m area with a 6m x 1.5m balcony attached. The bathroom is nice with a cool shower fitting and a plastic tub which works fine. Geyser is also available. There are smaller rooms too.
Ambience : There are trees there are birds and the mornings and evenings are nice. The mid day is terrible with the hut having poor insulation and the room gets hot. The poor ac can only do so much. There is nothing else to do but watch the construction going on.
The service : There is no dedicated dining area so we mostly ate in our rooms. The only reason my vacation was not a disaster and I did not cut my trip short. Tapan is a one man show here he helped with managing food / milk for my child and answered to all our requests. The food is expensive and vegetarian. They do give huge quantities so order half of what you would normally eat. Food rates
Per person Lunch - 450 Hi Tea - 175 Dinner - 450 Breakfast - 275 Total - 1350
They will ask for 3k advance. When you check in.
Summary : This place will get better in a year or two maybe, if you are booking in 2025/2026 please consider other options. There are so many better ones. It is so hard to keep a toddler entertained in this place. We were confined to our room for 70% of the trip. We got stuck here only because the trip was non refundable and we booked last minute. Other than that it was fine. Cant blame anyone...

You have to climb a few stairs from the parking lot to the room. They do send help for luggage.
A refundable deposit is collected.
Network issues are there and the wifi provided is basic but that's fine considering the location. Would suggest expanding the range to the bathroom.
The mattress was very firm, didn't like it.
JioHotstar didn't load on the tv, kept giving errors.
The tub and bathroom in general is great, very luxurious and the flooring is also good.
The outdoor deck is a good one to relax.
Found a cockroach in the cupboard which raises concerns regarding the food there, hence didn't order any.
The biggest downside is the staff, they keep knocking on the door at random times despite informing that we'll let them know if anything is needed. This is particularly annoying when you're tired and keep getting disturbed while taking naps, defeating the entire purpose of a vacation.
Overall quite aesthetic but has it's disadvantages as well, that they...
