I recently visited Sejal Resort with my family and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The resort seemed deserted as there were literally no other guests except for us. This lack of activity gave us an immediate sense of concern about the popularity and upkeep of the property.
To make matters worse, it became evident that the resort was not maintained at all. The overall cleanliness and maintenance standards were severely lacking. We were particularly disturbed by the complete absence of security measures, especially towards the back side of the resort. The lack of lighting in that area made us feel unsafe, and despite our repeated calls for assistance, no one from the staff responded. We were left with no choice but to personally drive to the reception area to seek help. The manager, displayed a rude attitude towards us, which was highly unprofessional. As the manager, he should have been the one to provide us with assistance, but unfortunately, he failed to do so. It was only after interacting with other staff members that we were provided tent houses with proper lighting for safety purposes.
Moving on to the dining experience, the food at Sejal Resort was average, but the hygiene standards definitely left much to be desired. It was evident that more attention should be given to maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper hygiene practices in the kitchen and dining areas.
Furthermore, the state of the washrooms was extremely disappointing. They emitted a strong, unpleasant odor, indicating poor sanitation and lack of regular cleaning.
The swimming pool at the resort was not well-maintained either, as it was infested with dragonflies. This lack of attention to the pool's cleanliness and upkeep made it unappealing for guests.
In terms of recreational activities, the indoor games area was not maintained at all. There was no staff available to oversee these facilities, making it impossible for guests to enjoy them.
Lastly, the absence of housekeeping services was quite surprising and disappointing. The lack of attention to cleaning and tidying up the rooms during our stay was noticeable and left us with a negative impression of the resort's overall management.
In summary, our experience at Sejal Resort was extremely unsatisfactory. The property was poorly maintained, lacked security measures, had average food quality with hygiene issues, unpleasant washrooms, a poorly maintained swimming pool, neglected indoor games area, and a complete absence of housekeeping services. I would strongly advise potential guests to consider these factors before choosing this resort as their...
Read moreGood for activities, Worse for stay. Dates visited: 19-21 Nov 2021 Purpose: casual. Went with my wife and 5 yo daughter. Price paid: 6000 per night all inclusive
Good about the park: The adventure activities are well managed. The staff is trained and they are kind. Pool was clean. Indoor games had plenty of options and indoor cricket area was also nice and well lit. Location is also a good and has good accessibility.
Bad: The park is designed for value for money for day activities for groups. The park is not suitable for couples who want to spend a few days at the resort. If you decide to stay, do it at your own risk ( I will advise not to stay)
The menu options are very bad. Templates are given: For breakfast - 2 items (like poha +idly, usually served cold) and bread butter jam For lunch - soup, 2 curry, roti, rice and dal, papad and 1 sweet For dinner - soup, 2 curry, roti, rice and dal, papad and 1 sweet All food have a lot of garam masala and is not really stomach friendly if you understand what I mean.
The overall feeling is of good dharamshala - as there are a lot of restrictions on the guests who decide to stay - like the breakfast starts at 9 am, pool starts at 10.30 (so you have to dive into the pool after breakfast), but the hot water is available until 10.30 only. There are similar times for everything at the resort. Many of the staff were dressed in uniforms but they were not washed since ages. The staff also look really dirty and they really need to take a bath sometimes. Seems like the management have penny pinched on every cost item and they do not like to focus on guests who want to stay. Like there are no toiletries in bath or there is not hot water kettle in room, the TV's dont function well, there are no door bells to the room etc. The cottage room is a large room, and is designed like a Dharamshala room, it has a balcony which mostly smelt really bad.
The food is mostly cold and there is nothing which is served hot (live counter). I felt short changed and really unhappy with my stay there. It had the potential to be a superb property, but the operations are not...
