Sparsh Resort and Chalets — Hotel in Maharashtra

What does one book a hotel for?||Amongst all other personal reasons and preferences, I’m pretty sure ‘comfort’ and ‘hospitality’ are what we expect as basic starters, don’t we? Well then, with this property, DON’T!||Someone like me who loves villas and chalets over resorts which are room in building like structures, was ecstatic to view this property here on Tripadvisor.||It look nothing less than simple, yet perfect.||But to our (my friends and my) surprise, there were so many basic hospitality and comfort elements missing.||Before i get into the truckload of bads, here are some goods:||1 - Absolutely mind blowing property, beautifully maintained, well managed.||The attention to details in certain areas and cute lil’ surprises like flowers and little canopies and beautiful looking chalets, was such a delight.||2 - The food during lunch and dinner was ok, but the breakfast next morning was such a saviour and just wonderful. We had our full.||3 - the rooms are nice and big and i love the greenery around.||4 - Although the eating area was quite a distance, the walk was lovely. (I personally love walking and exploring and appreciating nature en route)||Ummm i guess that’s about it.||The depressing bads are quite a read, grab your coffee/popcorn plz,||Here we go:||1-They do not provide room service.||Which they did inform us about but what they didn’t tell us is that there won’t be ANY sevice.||We were 4 friends and were provided just two towels. How do we ask for more? ||...THE ORDEAL...||•Call on the number provided (resident manager).||Ok, so we try calling, but tadaaaa..NO NETWORK.||One if our phones managed to cut through network and then what happens..tadaaaa..the resident manager’s number is ‘our of coverage area’||||So, what did we end up doing? Oh we had to choose between either walking up to the reception which is almost a KM away, or drive there..to ask for I repeat..TWO TOWELS.• 2 - No tea/coffee/milk powder sachets in the room.||How do we ask for some? ||Refer THE ORDEAL above.||||3 - oh this one is lethal..||NO CHAI OR SNACKS IN BETWEEN LUNCH AND DINNER.||No no no I’m not talking about the ‘meals included’ part of the ordeal, I’m talking about NO FOOD.||NO SNACKS, NO NOTHING!||What does one fo after a dip in their pool (which is actually really nice by the way..like i said, excellent property)||So, what did we do?||The boys went out (poor things didn’t even take a shower after pool time) and managed to get some chai in a packet with some bhajiyas.||Now, don’t get me wrong, all this ‘going out and getting stuff’ is not the problem, we all do that oftentimes, it’s the NON-AVAILABILITY of absolutely ANYTHING that baffled me.||||4 - the power kept tripping next morning (Sunday morning) around 7:30am onwards.||Thankfully we slept early so we all woke up around that time but hello, it’s a HOLIDAY and people like to take it easy and not trip over tripping electricity. Sort it quick, or atleast apologise for the inconvenience at checkout. (Which was obviously not at reception because.. read THE ORDEAL above)🙄||||5 - which brings me to another point, we didn’t have anyone come and ask for any assistance whatsoever needed throughout the 24 hour stay, but at check out, we had them knock 15 mins before 12pm.||Applause plz, yes.||||6 - The Pool fiasco.||So, a big group of boys who i saw playing cricket and some other games out at play areas, came marching towards the pool area (lovely pool again) and get in the pool with those same stinky (oh please don’t tell me sweat has an aroma of flowers or something), sweaty clothes. ALL OF THEM IN ALL THEIR NON-SWIM WEAR. Which means they were in with all their inners on too.||I’m sorry, what? ||The 4 of us friends had just started having a good time and bam! The sweaty army of boys ruined it.||Again, it’s obviously not the quantity of the boys, it’s NO RULES AND ABSOLUTELY NO ETIQUETTES AND NO RESPECT FOR PEOPLE who are also there to enjoy and have a memorable weekend.||Disgusted, i moved out of the pool.||I went to the reception and asked if the boys were staying at the property, to which i got ‘yes’ as a reply.||Did I believe that? No.||Did the person at the reception even try to ask what the problem was for which we walked all the way there? No.||||6 - All in all, like I’ve mentioned earlier in this super long review, the property won my heart, but the staff and the hospitality/service,, broke it.||They didn’t make us feel comfortable or relaxed, were were on our own (not in a fun good way at all).||||Don’t think i would want to ever go back there again or sadly, even recommend this place to anyone.||Oh and what is it with the (so called) staff not speaking hindi?🙄||Anyway, thats it i guess.||It saddens me to see such a beautiful property being...

Worst Chalets with extreme bad conditions. Dont trust the pictures online it is extremely bad and at very dirty stage.

Chalets/Rooms: Big for 3-4 people but extremely bad stinky not maintained. No TV even if they promise on the calls that there is a tv. The bedsheets and pillows were torned with cigratte burns and stinky like they were never washed for months oil stains. Toilets in worst condition. There were lizards spiders and cockroaches roaming freely in the chalets. The location is ok and peaceful but equally inside with no network. The Owners make fake promises and take advance payments.

Food: There is no proper restaurant only common Sparsh restaurant cum canteen with limited options. We ordered the food at 2pm with just basic dal rice and sabzi the food arives at 4 pm saying there are lot of orders so cant deliver on time as many Chalets have same restaurant. Again the food was not upto the mark what they charged for. Also no network so have to call on wifi whatsapp call to the restaurant owner and they keep fooling you that the food is ariving in 5 mins wait. The delivery person says i delayed the food as i felt down from the bike and made the food again however he fooled this everytime and i can see the same from other reviews.

Owner/Caretaker: Fooling the people with extra charges and zero services. The caretaker is very senseless person and knows nothing. He keeps on calling the owner and just fools us saying we will give you better rooms as everything is full now. however we noticed all the chalets were empty. He left us alone in the evening with no trace and only returned next day that too when i decided to not pay further for next two days of my year end trip and finally planned to move out of the property. The whole night we were alone in the area with no lights in the surrounding and people around. The restaurant again closes at 8 pm so order dinner at 7 pm. From our office group of 16 people traveled including me for a fun trip and hoping Sparsh resorts was the destination based on the trust on Makemytrip. Trust me it was a nightmare and starting with the rooms it was were not that great and the staff dont pay any attention to you and your concerns on what so ever. No drinking water provided, no arrangements for guest welcome, you search everywhere to find the reception to get hold on to somebody. No intercom facility and no power backup at all, we were kept in dark for longer hours. One of the allocated room terrace was dropping water into the bedroom bed directly and we have hunt the people to get it handled and what you get is we will change your room. The contact person in Sparsh is not that friendly to cater to the guest requests. The pool was full of dead mosquitoes and watch when you get in. The cleanliness of the resort is in extreme pathetic condition includes the clubshouse, open play area, accessibility and many more. Only good thing about the resort i can say is food quality was good. Please avoid Sparsh resorts at all costs and look for some...
