The Monarch Chakan, Pune — Hotel in Maharashtra

Had travelled in Non-2022 and stayed for a night with family. Booked this Hotel, considering good reviews and the star rating given so that the family stay is safe and secure but turned out to be insecure.

During our stay, early morning around 4:50 AM, our room was opened by other guests as they were given same room with key card coded to open the door. This was so FREAKY & SCARY, imagine in the middle of the sleep someone entering your room, with family in the room and a place you are visiting first time. It gave all of us jitters and were spooked.

The guests said sorry and left immediately. I called the front desk from room phone immediately and there was no response, pathetic!

Next day morning, I spoke to the front desk people again and was told they will find out what happened. I called Hotel manager after 2 days and asked about it, was told the same that they will find out what happened and asked him to call back with what they find out, so far no call, its been a week+ now.

Not sure if they got the gravity of the mistake they have made.

IMAGINE : if it was a lonely woman in the room and an ill intended person had entered in the middle of the night because of the Hotel mistake, we all can think of what worst could have happened.

UPDATE: On 11-Dec-2022, the hotel management replied to my review and has apologized which shows their professionalism and customer care. Along with it they have taken measures to not to repeat the goof-up. As such, I have bumped the star rating...

A wonderful long stay at this hotel with a comfortable & homely stay! Food was excellent, you would never get bored even during long stays, unlike the big branded hotels that serve the same menu daily. The options are sumptuous for the breakfasts buffet. The food during rest of the day is also fantastic at the restaurant. Service is marvelous, very caring and they ask multiple times if the guests are comfortable. They don't bother about blocking cards for corporate stays and take payments at the convenience of the guests before check out! The views from the room is good, the water & shower in the bathroom are super good & powerful, feel really fresh after the waterfall showers. Housekeeping replinishes the toiletteries generously. The drinking water is kept in abundance. There are fridges in the room too. AC is very cold and comfortable. The bed & comforters are apt. The gym facility is decent and the view is good which compensates for AC in the gym. Special mention to Mamta at the front desk & Gita at the breakfast were very kind helpful and courteous. I have travelled around the world and stayed several hotels, i was so surprised in Chakan an amazing property for stay both Business & Personal. World class facility at a very moderate cost. Am staying in room #503. Hospitality Excellent Great Customer Relation Awesome Food was so delicious & Yummy Safe & Secured Rooms Clean & Hygiene place Monarch Chakan team right from security, restaurant, front desk, chef's everyone is so polite and foremost thing ready to listen customers requirements/complaints if any. These staffs were led by a super gentlemen namely Mr VasantRaj Nair, such as great human, always humble, available & reachable by all, all carry's a pleasant and great smile with all, customers are so eager to be in touch with him and he was an great leader & mentors for their staffs, sometimes even for customers. His experience in hospitality industry adds feather to The Monarch Chakan.
