About the place : The place is very nice with greenery all round. You can see Mango, Banana, Chikoo, Papaya trees all round and Hibiscus, Rose, many other plans there which add to the beauty of the place. Other than these, there are a huge number of coconut trees and other decorative plants all round the place. You will see no garbage or dirt any where in the 3 acer of land in which the place is made.
About the stay: A real good experience of the overnight stay in tents. Tents are segregated with bamboo fense for each of the groups so it makes more comfortable. The tents are lake view facing, so special. You get barbecue setup near your tents so that you can sit and enjoy the pleasent climate and starters together. Post dinner bonfire is something we enjoyed a lot.
Food : Tea, snacks, dinner, breakfast are really very good. Not very spicy and not so oily so good for kids as well. They even provided milk for children when requested for even when that was not a part of the package.
Owner and Staff : Mr. Suresh Marathe who owns the place is a really down to earth person and cares a lot for each and every visitor. Always keeps meeting the guests asking if they were comfortable, had food, how was it, suggestions, complaints. Alway wears a smile so makes the visit a bit special. Not seen such humble owner. The staff is well trained and they do all things perfectly. The keep asking if you need any thing and keep trying to serve hot food. Real good staff.
Package : The charges for complete package including overnight stay are 1500/- per person and the timing are from 5:00 PM to 11:00 AM next day. Read moreThis is one of the best places near Pune to spend a weekend in the lap of nature. The place is full of greenery and is located besides Hadshi lake. Away from the city chaos and is full of nonpolluted fresh air. My experience: This was my first visit. When we reached, we were welcomed by the owner Suresh Marathe....very humble and down to earth person. After meeting Suresh we had lunch. Food is complete Desi style. You cannot get this taste anywhere in the city. Till the time we were done there was a man looking after us making sure that we have everything that we need. We had opted for non-veg and the food was delicious. After lunch a man guided us to our tents which was besides Hadshi lake . We were a family of four. Myself, My wife and my 2 children. In the evening barbeque was set up and marinated chicken was provided. Really enjoyed the barbeque part. We also had a bonfire that kept us warm in the cold temperature. The sight of the lake in the evening...and the cool breeze was mesmerizing. We had our dinner near the tent which is also included in the package. Suresh was very kind and provided hot milk for my 1 year old son as requested by my wife. One of the staff members assured that I can wake them up in case I need anything...no matter what time it is in the night. In the morning we had our breakfast and headed back to our home. This place is highly recommended for a short drive and a...
Read moreA very good value for money stay for family and friends near Tikona Fort. This place offers a wide variety of experiences. I had been to this place before pandemic. They didnt have the cottages back then. Nor was the upgraded box cricket and volley ball activities available. Even then we still had a very good time. So this time we decided that we will go for a stay. And selected the stay in the cottages. You get a very good view of lake and mountains from the cottage. The stay is comfortable. You get hot water for 24 hours. Rooms are clean and tidy. The food was very good. We opted the non veg for both dinner and lunch and it was worth it. For the activities, we enjoyed some quality time near the lake. The water levels were down so we could go near to lake bed. I taught my daughter how to skip stones. It was a memorable moment. We got some nice photograps of sunset and mountain views. Next day morning, post breakfast we spent most of time in the mango garden laying on char pai and reading books. I must say it feels very calming and relaxing to enjoy reading a book in the cool breezy winds. One can even enjoy a good nap there. We didnt go for boating this time. Next time probably. The road to this place is in good condition. Only the last 50 meters were off road. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Will visit with Friends and family next time to enjoy box cricket...
