Excellent place recommneded particularly for monsoon. The staff is very courteous. Basic facilities are available. Expect nothing more. No TV/ Wifi. Hot water is available from 7.30-10.30 am only. Rooms were clean but need repair as it has developed cracks. In Buffet food arrangement, you get 4-5 varieties of veg food and 1/2 non veg varieties. No ice cream as they have power outages in the place. Generator backup is available. There are two pools- one for kids and other quite big and deep one for experienced swimmers only. Gaming area has Carrom, table tennis, badminton.
Do experience the night safari in open Jeep, even if you dont get to see animals. Its a beautiful experience to travel under the sky full of stars. As told to me, for Animal sightings, you should visit around September/ October. You may see Jackals, Wild Boar, Black Bear, Deers and Leopards also. As for Birds, I saw Sunbirds, Minivet and Redstart. Its a perfect setting for Hoopoe though i didn't find it in my 1 night stay. Did get a glimpse of Owl (perhaps a Jungle owlet) in flight during night safari.
Its a good place to trek around the mountain.
Important: Get your own car if you are planning to travel there and wish to see around. Do make sure to have a full tank as there is no petrol pump on the Kasara Jawhar Route. Villagers do sell mixed petrol for emergency but it may spoil the engine.
Have a good camera in hand to capture the stunning beauty of the ghats, Valleys and the grand Vaitarna river. There are lot of waterfall points that may be best experienced during monsoon.
Do visit the Ganesh temple at Deobandh which is 2kms from the resort. The brown colored idol is beautiful and the small temple is set around a very clean river in background. Its mesmerising to say the least. In the compound there are tribals selling Ayurvedic medicines/oils.
Suggestions to Management: Place has potential for improvement. Need to add more adventure activities to keep people interested. Rooms need a uplift/repair. . Plan upgrade/beautification of the place keeping the natural setting. Solar panels should be installed for water heating and outside lights.
To summarize: I recommend the place for Nature lovers. Just soak in the beauty and Do not compare with other 3/5...

Read moreWild Camp. . . . One of the best resorts I have visited for a family picnic as well as official outing. I have been here couple of times and few points I would like to share from my experience.
The resort is located at Khodala which is just 2 hours from Mumbai. It is situated on a mountain slope which offers stunning views of surrounding nature. Rooms are spacious which can accommodate 5 people easily. These self contained rooms have a private sit out area and a small garden outside. No need of Air conditioning in monsoon and winters. Food is good. Generally the package includes Buffet Lunch, Hi-Tea with Pakodas, Buffet Dinner and Breakfast. Also they provide room service if needed. Taste is really good. In Activities, there is a play area which has Carrom Board, Table Tennis and a Pool Table. Also there's a open space for Camp Fire and group games. 1 Kids pool with rain dance and 1 huge infinity pool which gives beautiful views of Nature. You will also enjoy a short trek to the Sunrise Point. There are many natural waterfalls in Monsoon season nearby the resort. In winter they have an optional Night Safari in Jeep. For corporate offsite they also have a small conference hall for meetings. Service is the best part of this resort. You'll experience it right from the booking process. The resort staff is helpful and polite. Majority of them are from nearby local villages. All thanks to Mr. Manjunath for maintaining such high level of service throughout the process.
To conclude I must say that this place has been our go to spot for picnics in monsoon. I am eagerly waiting for a chance to visit it in Winter season...
