During your travel when everything for you is sorted at one place, your mornings are quaint, the stay at every step is comfortable, the host is bundle of joy to interact, you are in the midst of nature and you just feel body, mind & soul relaxed - than there cannot be any less reason to call La Maison De Ananda "Heaven on Earth". ||||The property is a combination of bamboo huts & newly constructed regular concrete rooms, if you are a family go for the regular rooms, they are super spacious and clean & if you are a solo or couple traveler, don't hesitate to get your bamboo hut experience. The new construction has got itself a new kitchen/dining area as well and it serves Indian, chinese, bit of continental and all of them are just good. But the real deal is devouring on some very interesting local cuisine, prepared in a separate kitchen by the co-owners - Monjit's wife. During our stay, this kitchen was shut, so we had this same experience in a local tribal house, all organised for us by Monjit. And what a food experience it was. For places to see around - Get yourself a bicycle from the property (its free) and cycle around to the sunset point, satras or one of the main market area. The roads are narrow and its a beautiful ride all through. On your ride you will come across many a elevated bamboo house of the mishing tribe. They are also one of the largest tribe of India. We spent two unforgettable days at La Mansion de Ananda Resort in Majuli, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warm hospitality, tranquil surroundings, and a deep sense of peace that only Majuli can offer.
The property itself is stunning—tastefully designed with traditional Assamese influences, yet equipped with all the modern comforts. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, with a balcony that opened up to lush greenery and serene views. Every corner of the resort feels like it's been crafted with love and attention to detail.
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were courteous, prompt, and genuinely welcoming. Whether it was arranging local tours or serving meals with a smile, their hospitality made a big difference.
Speaking of food—absolutely delicious! The kitchen serves authentic local dishes made with fresh ingredients, and every meal was a treat. We especially loved the traditional Assamese thali—flavorful, hearty, and unforgettable.
The resort also offers easy access to nearby attractions and satras, making it a perfect base to explore the cultural richness of Majuli. After a day of sightseeing, returning to the calm and comfort of the resort felt like coming home.
In just two days, La Mansion de Ananda gave us memories to last a lifetime. If you're visiting Majuli and looking for a place that offers luxury, authenticity, and heartfelt service—look no further. Highly, highly...

It simply cannot be described in words. The host, Mr Monjit was also very helpful and extremely polite and courteous. There is one Bamboo cottage ( aged people and people with arthritis won't be able to climb up the stairs). There is also provision for bonfire in the courtyard (a must have experience if u visit in the winters). Food is really delicious, restaurant and rooms are clean. |Definitely go for a morning walk in a nearby misin g village. |The bamboo cottage was first established by a French couple and hence the name. |For sight seeing, you can contact Me Dilip Bora.
