We went on a short trip to Mandu in July 2025 and we chose this place after searching a few other options. Seemed like a good resort with an ethnic feel and some good reviews. We booked on Agoda. Only issue which was mentioned was the absence of WiFi. We were okay with this and thought we will spend some peaceful time without getting online. We stayed one night. Check in experience was good. The room was very clean with a rustic village feel but with modern amenities like a good toilet. Room had kettle, tea, coffee, milk powder sachets, and also adequate toilet items like soap, shampoo, dental kit, etc. Great ambience as you can see from the photos. Only issue was a lot of flying insects which get attracted to light. But the resort cannot be blamed for this. This is usual during monsoon and some times of the year. The wooden door was tight due to moisture but this was immediately addressed with a bit of shaving of the door. There is parking available. We were surprised to learn that the person at the reception was one of the owners/promoters. We were talking to him and he shared the history of Mandu, having born and grown up there. Having studied tourism and hospitality, it was his dream to set up a good resort with the tribal and rustic feel. They are slowly increasing capacity and also the amenities. Owners are very responsive, locals not corporates. They are slowly and steadily building this place. They need to be encouraged. The resort now has Wi-Fi available. Also we had gone there in a cab. They provided comfortable charpai bed for the driver. It is cheaper than the MP tourism resort nearby and is good and comfortable. There is a small kutcha road from the main road that leads to this place, which could be a put off, but the location is quite good. They have an in house kitchen with a good menu and the chef will prepare food as per our taste and returned. They have both veg and non veg options. We had forgotten that our booking included free breakfast. The chef from their in house kitchen prepared alu paratha and poha for our breakfast and they were tasty. We ordered thinking we had to pay, but the owner reminded us that the breakfast was complimentary in our booking. We did self check out as we had prepaid on Agoda. We did not have any issues during our stay and enjoyed it. Will definitely look to stay here again.

This place is a refreshing blend of sustainability and tradition. Built with natural materials and inspired by village life, it offers a peaceful escape from the city. The mud cottages and thatched roofs create an authentic rural vibe, Over all, A serene, eco-friendly retreat where simplicity meets comfort — highly recommended for those seeking relaxation, sustainability, and a touch of village life.

Madai Resort is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Surrounded by green farms, the peaceful atmosphere is perfect for a quiet getaway. The service is amazing, and the food feels like home, making the stay even better.

A big thank you to Krishna Ji, the owner, for his warm hospitality and care, which made our visit unforgettable. One of the highlights was enjoying a campfire on a chilly night, followed by a cozy dinner around it.

If you’re visiting Mandu, Madai Resort is the perfect choice for its calm vibe, tasty food, and...
