I would rate it 5 stars for its hospitality, food and service. I think you cannot get a better deal than this at Cherrapunjee. Though not exactly at Cherrapunjee but most of the important points to cover like Zip lining adventure , Dylum view point are like 1 km away from this hotel. Talking about the booking process: we need to keep calling the number from Google until they pick it up. Yeah that sounds stressful, I have another direct contact now. You might get it too. Once they pick up the phone, everything on booking side is via emails. Room types: 4 suite rooms with a small living room and a bed room. And Two tent rooms. We booked suite room. Room size was decent enough for the money paid. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained with proper hot water considering the low temperatures. Food: They have fixed menu but that is worth it. Breakfast has some home-cooked bread and delicious aloo parathas. We ordered coffee and tea and I think you should not miss it too. Ginger tea is amazing and coffee is with just right amount of sugar in it. We also had dinner here for two days and for 4 of us it did not cost more than 2000 in total which is pretty cheap. And menu included, delicacies like Paneer chilly, fried rice, tandoori rotis, aloo jeera, dal fry. I must say the food was yum and served hot. If you want to have bonfire experience they can set it up at some 500 bucks. If you bring them the wood ( which you can get from the nearby market) they will do it for free. That's what I call service :) This cafe was a worthy experience for us! I would highly recommend. And great service by Mbaha and other folks :) PS: The cafe has a bit vintage look and you would get some nice pictures there :) Do check out the photos.

Dont trust the reels and reviews… So we went there for lunch.. the location was okayy.. but the food and service was horrible… the food was total below average… the chicken in chilli chicken & the pork in smoke pork dry fry were soo stiff and the chicken fried rice was tasteless…worst chilli chicken i have ever had in a restaurant… and the service was really underwhelming as well… we ordered crispy chicken wings with soup as a starter and they served the dish just as we were about to finish our main course.. first we thought tht they might have forgotten but then they served at the very end… when they only have very limited options in the menu they should atleast cook it properly… even the cleanliness was not at its peak … some leftovers were still lying on the table and the glasses looked so cheap & dirty.. not at all expected from a restaurant like this… Can’t really comment on the rooms but seriously i would never stay at such a place with such horrible service and food.. when they can’t satisfy a short time lunch customer what can i expect more from them anyways..

I went to this place for the first time with someone I know and I enjoyed it like never before after returning from Double Decker Root Bridge. The memory makes me cry and laugh at the same time(a very special feeling). Anyway, I am supposed to write about the Cafeteria so here It is, the guy who served us in the Cafeteria interacted very well, he even asked us to visit again(most of them do this) but he was very good. He asked us where we were from to which I replied "I am from Shillong and he is from Darjeeling". He was a very nice person. Didn't ask his name but someday we will again visit the Cafeteria and him as well. After we were done he asked us how the food was. We gave him a positive response and he was very happy. I could see that he and my friend almost became friends. Haha...Anyway, the food is very good at a reasonable price, the place is attractive for both the tourists and the locals. All must visit this place one's, I am writing "one's" because one's you'll visit there, you will be loving to visit there again and again.

Dear readers, I stayed in this property for a day during our trip to East India. I travelled with my spouse and a two year old infant. We checked in on 9th Apr and checked out next day. Our experience with the stay is as follows : Pros The location is awesome. While it is situated way outside Cheerapunji, the location offers a serene experience. The way the property is constructed, gives a nice vibe. Beautiful, big and well maintained lawns, with wooden benches offers nice experience. The services like food delivery were responsive and prompt. Food was hot and tasty as well. Points to improve. The room (No.003) could have been checked before offering to the guest. The television was not working (no signal from the STB). Not a big deal, may be due to inclement weather. Also, the remote was not working. They had to replace the batteries. Washroom flush was not functioning. I again had to raise a complaint and had to get it fixed by a cafe person. A big turn-off was next day morning, the geyser was also not working. No hot water. We had a scheduled departure on that day, and we had to leave ofcourse without a bath. My two year old, had a keen lookout and pointed out a scorpion inside the room. I was taken aback and promptly eliminated it. Probably it had creeped into room via the gap below the main door.

While they charge a premium price for the stay ( more than 4k per night), they should have an eye for...

Timings- 1pm - 6pm Location - 5 star Service 1 star or 0 star Electricity issue… Firstly the location is aesthetic and beautiful.. The cafe is quite beautiful but the main issue is with the service. I just visited the cafe and because it’s so cold outside, I gave 3 coffee and onion Pakora order for takeaway. They took the order but after 20-25 mints we asked for the order and they said it will take some more time.. we asked for how more then they confirm atleast 30 minutes more because the other guest’s are also there. Yes the other guests were there but serving coffee doesn’t take that much time. What I noticed was they were serving and concerned for local people more… as I didn’t find any other reason for the delay… they easily cancelled my order when I said can you be quick or how much time… My 4 years old boy was sleeping in the car so we decided to cancel the order as will have to leave for Shillong..

We as a tourist expect to be treat same way aa the locals. Well I didn’t find this issue anywhere / other café… Dylans cafe is best in case of service.. ML05 location is very good with quick food… For complete meal you must visit city hut dhaba...
