Hotel Nakshatra Palace — Hotel in Melpuram

This is one of the most economical options you can hope for when it comes to touring trivandrum/kanyakumari/Nagercoil. Especially the wheel chair friendly facilities available is very good, small make shift ramp at the front, full accessible washroom, accessible restaurant and accessible hand washing area...

As a wheel chair user, my family and me were fully satisfied...

The main highlight being the accessible room costing Rs.950/- only as usually only 4 star or 5 star hotels have wheel chair friendly facilities.

The staff were also very friendly... Special mention to Raghu, John and Rajeev....

Another big attraction is the superbly delicious food served here which is also at a very economical price.

Only requirement is that you will have to travel in a car 'to and from' from all the locations nearby. Ours was a pilgrimage plus tour as we visited all the places of St. Devasahayam and few places in Kanyakumari.

For our three day stay where we bought breakfast and dinner separately, the room expenses came under 6k and food expenses came about 2k only😊.

Room service is poor and the front office staff are just average. I’ve faced frequent power failures during both my stays here, and unfortunately, nothing has improved. This time, I had to wait over 8 hours including night(2am to 10am) while they attempted to fix the issue—with no clear understanding of what they were doing. Despite repeated requests, they were unwilling to offer an alternative room.

Overall, the hospitality is disappointing, and there's a serious lack of urgency or accountability in resolving guest concerns. Definitely not worth the stay.

This is a new hotel. Few rooms. But well made and comfortable. Clean bathrooms. Hot water etc etc. all good. Cost too was very very reasonable. But here is the real reason I came to write a review: The food here! The best Beef fry and dragon chicken. The best. Anyone near here seeing my review. Please go order the food and try. Porotta. Beef fry. Dragon chicken. BDF. Good service. Great people. Thanks for making our stay there memorable. Morning...
